A Christmas Tree in Every Room and A BUNCH of Cinnamon Rolls!!!

Our Christmas Trees for 2014........

Tree # 1
This is the first tree I do since this one stays up year round.
It holds my Santa collection which is appropriate since it stands there by the Santa Wall of paintings.

Tree # 2
The Angel Tree
It stands on an antique sewing machine in the foyer and always holds my collection of angels.

Tree # 3
My newest tree stands majestic in the living room and holds all sorts of special ornaments from vintage gold ones to those I have hand painted over the years.

Tree # 4
The Porch Tree WAS my living room tree!
No ornaments on this one - just white lights and wide mesh ribbon.
The 'packages' under the tree are covered with Christmas t shirts.

Tree # 5
The Children's Tree is in the kitchen and holds the special ornaments from my children's childhoods as well as the ones Summer has given me over the years. Someday I will give these back to HER. Someday in the distant future........

Tree # 6
Just a plain little tree that sits between the washer and dryer.

Tree # 7
While this picture does not do it justice - it IS one of my favorite trees.
It's mostly red and features a cardinal collection Summer started me on as well as sequined poinsettias, 'ice' sculptures and clear glass ornaments.
This one is in the dining room.

Tree # 8
Another Children's Tree sits in the sewing room.

Tree # 9
A tiny tree for the corner of the sewing room -
this sits on the edge of Lucy's kennel.

Tree # 10
The Snowman Tree is in the gazebo.

Tree # 11
Another tiny tree that sits high on a cupboard in Louis Dean's bathroom.

Tree # 12
The hall has this tiny tree which USED to live in one of the bathrooms.
The wine scented candles are in tiny goblets.

Tree # 13
Another tree that stays up year round and is decorated for the seasons.
It is in our bedroom.

Tree # 14
Our guest room tree. I think Maddie enjoys looking at this one from her daytime spot on the bed.

That's the trees for this year!!
I do have one more tiny tree by the kitchen pond but it just has lights on it.

While I took pictures, made a Christmas Food run to the grocery store and wrapped gifts -

Louis Dean was making cinnamon rolls!

He does love to bake!!!!

He started at 11:30 this morning and we finished packaging them all up at 7:00 this evening.

He put in a long baking day!
My kitchen is a wreck!
The counters were smeared with so much butter and flour that it's hard to get them CLEAN!!
I run my hand across them and they STILL feel gritty!
I shall work on them some more in the morning and put everything to rights in there.

But for now, I'm going to have one of those rolls with a glass of milk before going to bed!

Love all your trees. We did not put s single Christmas thing out this year. Sure wish I could order about a dozen of those rolls, they look delicious.

Looks like he made enough to feed everyone!! OH, your trees, they are all so beautiful!! My favorites are the living room, the washer, the children's and the guest room! We cannot put a single tree up because of Sunny! And I have several! He pulls the branches, chomps them, and much more. You have a GOOD girl, I guess cats are just all different. I have decorated more this year, though. It seems a shame to take yours all down on January 2nd. How long will you leave them up? I can't WAIT to see the Quads on Christmas Day!!!! Your house or Amber's?

Wonderful to see all your trees in one post. Had to go back and have a second look after seeing LD's incredible cinnamon rolls. Happy Christmas thoughts and love to you both.

Your trees are spectacular!!! I have to admit, darling, that years ago when you wrote you had all these trees, well, I thought you were a little "off"! But now I understand they are not all huge, live evergreens! I have now accumulate two tiny trees and an artificial one on top of the big ole guy in the living room. And I'm afraid I'm on the bandwagon!!!!

Oh, that man of yours with his baking! And in the video....I love your laugh!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Linda, your cinnamon rolls look so good, and having one with a glass of milk before you go to bed is the perfect treat. :) Your photos are always so heartwarming, and I love your Christmas background, it is so pretty!

Yes, I changed my blog name...I have some followers who are from different countries and not all speak English well, was one reason, and another reason is because I felt that "Linda's Peaceful Place" reflected who I am and what I am trying to do for others with my blog posts. Even though it doesn't have the same 'ring' as Linda's Lair, I thought it would explain better of what my blog is about.

I did mention this in one of my posts when I made the change, but since I had never changed my blog name since I had it I wasn't sure if it would show up as Linda's Peaceful Place or Linda's Lair. But I just followed my own blog (LOL) to see what would happen and sure enough, it shows as "Linda's Peaceful Place" in my news feed, so I was happy about this.

Thank you so much for all your upbeat posts, you have so much enthusiasm and good energy that I know you brighten many people's lives, including mine.

God bless you and your family, Linda, and Merry Christmas to you all. :)

I am in awe as ever, of your creativity and productivity Linda! 14 trees-astonishing! They are all so different, and so beautiful. L Dean is a wonderful baker. Those cinnamon rolls look delicious. Happy Christmas! X

I couldn't imagine having all those trees, but now I understand. Each is unique and so appropriate for the room they are placed into. They are all so beautiful I would have a hard time choosing a favorite. Or even two favorites.

Louis Dean is quite a baker! I can't imagine putting in a whole day of baking although I know when I was little my grandmother did just that. If his cinnamon rolls would ship well, I'd put in my order now.

I like trees # 3 and 6 best. How lucky you are to have a hubby who bakes and cooks! Those cinnamon rolls look yummy. I enjoyed your video too. Beautiful lights on your themed trees...keeps us from getting depressed when the days shrink down...I could never live in Alaska.

Wowzer! Look at those cinnamon rolls! Wish I had one about now. I could make short work of it. All the best with the kitchen counters!

Would you sometime have Louis Dean do a tutorial on how me makes his rolls? I too like to bake some for family and friends over the holidays and just have not found a perfect recipe yet. His look delish and he clearly is an expert at making them,

Thanks!

What awesome trees. I remember a picture of the Cardinal one and I think it's my favorite. Love it.
Now those damn cinnamon rolls. Those things are sinful and I wish I had one with a glass of milk. I expect a cinnamon roll when I ever get to come visit. LOL
