Louis Dean is a funny man!
We met on eHarmony and one of the 10 'Must Haves' on my list was a sense of humor.
Yesterday as we sat waiting for Dr. Shahdad, Louis Dean read this paper posted on the wall and said,
"Linda, they have bugged this room and are listening to us!"
I love being married to him!
Our great granddaughter Kaitlyn has her own business called Kay'z Crochet and she sent us this adorable honey bee!
I will display her with my 'Honey' collectables. I made a display on the den table in late spring and have loved it so much I left it all through the summer and fall.
I will pack it away for a brief time when I decorate for Christmas and then put it all back again!
We went back to Baylor Medical Center this afternoon!
Touchstone Imaging called me this morning to say they had an appointment available this afternoon instead of tomorrow so we took it!
After the MRI - which was an ordeal for Louis Dean but he did it! - I took him back to get the blood work done that we forgot to do yesterday.
While he did that, I went next door to Brown's Pharmacy and got my flu shot.
So Win! WIN!!
We used our time wisely and the only thing left to do is make an appointment for the memory testing with the specialist. I will call them and do that in the morning.
It was 4:00 when we got back home so I fixed us a snack and then started dinner.
BBQ using the last of some of the sauce my KC sibs gave me......it is seriously good!
Baked beans in the crock pot.
And some really good potato salad!
The last time I made any was September 24th and it was awful!
I was so happy this tasted good.
That MRI was tough and loud and long and it wore Louis Dean out.
He slept for about 3 hours in the guest room.
I am on the tail end of getting all of fall down and packed away.
Setting the stage for Christmas!
Tomorrow I will undo the laundry room and foyer and then on Thursday we will put up the Santa wall.
All the fall pillows are gone in the living room and Samantha has claimed the sofa as hers.
Louis Dean finally got up and we ate dinner and now he is watching a recorded football game and I am going to do some more work on my Christmas painting.
I think it's time to start the Christmas music on my 5 CD stereo player.
I have already been playing 2 out of 5 for the last few weeks.

LD and that cat look pretty cozy! I understand feeling wore out. I rode to the dentist with my daughter and granddaughter yesterday and we made a quick trip to Meijer and I must say I was exhausted when we left. This surgery stuff is getting old fast!
I hope LD is feeling better soon. I will also check your great granddaughter's site as well.
I'm ready to start Christmas decorating too. Our summer, swinging into Fall has just not been that good and I want to celebrate. And, I now have something happy to share!! Devin had a full workout yesterday - full body scan, scope and blood work. His surgical oncologist called him a Rock Star.. NO SIGN OF CANCER. It' been 18 months since his surgery and he is totally clear.... He's been going every 3 months for testing and they're letting him go 9 months this next time.. He is so happy!! As are we all. God is Good!!
You and LD are doing the right thing with the testing and doctor - this will help you both in the future. For me, the not knowing is much harder than knowing and being prepared. You'll have a lot of good times, some bumpy times, but doing it all together with love and laughter, with a few grunts and tears.
Cannot wait to get this year's Christmas card and frame it with the others! I so envy your talent friend..
Oh yes, if you are doing Christmas decorating, you do have to have Christmas music playing. I'm glad the tests are moving along quickly. Hopefully you'll soon know what can be done for his condition. Praying for only good things to come.
Bob has only had one MRI, when he had his stroke, he said it was horrible and he will never have another one. I did not know MRI was part of the testing. I had one but carried on about getting it and they sent me to the one that does people who weigh up to 500 lbs, bigger and not as tight, but it was awful... the bee is really cute. she is talented. I bought blue lights at walmart to put with the santa I won last year,
Oh LD is such a dear...Love his comment about being listened to.. Humor sure can help the tough times.

Sounds like you got a lot done during your medical visit. LOL about LD's listening comment. He is funny! I hope the memory testing goes okay. John has refused to go back for more testing. AND his old dr retired so that would mean a new one he would lie to unless I went right in with him. lol

For Halloween next year, you should dress up as the Energizer Bunny. Do you remember those ads? Hubby and I have been on the road so much lately that I am behind on your life journal. But from what I've read so far, I know praying for Louis Dean is a must.
I would tsk tsk about Christmas music this early, but I have been listening to Christmas music, too. 🤶🏻
That's how I feel after an MRI, too, wiped. That yummy meal surely helped revive Louis Dean.
Those medical centers can be so confusing! I'm not ready to decorate for Christmas yet.
Oh he is funny! Your dinner looks scrumptious, and yes, Christmas!!!!! We decorated here before Thanksgiving last year...the four kids still living here at home insisted on it, and it didn't kill me. It was actually fun...a few of my friends were shocked, it seems to be such a thing to wait until after Turkey Day, heaven forbid, ha. :)
That was a cute comment from Louis Dean and what a sweet image of him sleeping after that MRI, which thankfully I have never had to undergo, and hopefully never. Now you have me thinking about some homemade potato salad, but then I made mac & cheese already this week and we have leftovers too!

When I saw the photo of Samantha on that gorgeous sofa I thought to myself, if I were there she would have to fight me for it. It's not only beautiful but it looks amazingly comfortable. God bless you both :)
