Laundry Day, Quad Art, Amber, Rayne and A Laugh From Carla!! It's Thursday!

We had a good day all around this Country Thursday!

This afternoon I drove the big white truck to Mart to do laundry.

I love seeing all the country scenery on my way!
This is just across from the gate to the ranch.

Turning down County Line Road.

The wind wasn't nearly as bad today as we were expecting!

Thank goodness!

I was the only one at the coin laundry this afternoon!
I had three loads - one of Louis Dean's clothes including a couple pair of overalls - one load of whites and one load of my things.

My sister, Deanie, gave me these two dainty little towels and I have used them in the camper for as long as I have used the camper! We had hummingbirds here last year and I am hoping they return.
The feeders are hung with fresh nectar just waiting for their arrival.

I love the view coming back from town!

We look like a couple of hillbillies while we are down here but we don't care.
I actually dressed in nice jeans and shirt and wore a hat since the wind was blowing.
It didn't take me two minutes to change back into comfy country clothes.

I have news about our commode - or toilet - whatever you want to call it.
It is working!
But not photo worthy just yet!
I took this welcome sign off the knob of a small white cabinet that my son and daughter in law gave us years ago. It will be hanging up on the bathroom wall above the commode tomorrow - I hope.

I'm blogging out in the new room again tonight.
This pic I took of the chicken is one of my all time favorite and I intend to paint it as soon as I get back to my art! Whenever I do get walls up in here - I intend to decorate them with Critter paintings!

And speaking of critters - we are now officially on Critter Duty!
Can you see that white Styrofoam incubator in there??

Sherry made this herself! She used a computer fan to regulate the temperature.
There is one egg already showing the first stabs of the chick poking through the shell with his egg tooth. Once he hatches out, I will put in the prepared place with some water and turn the light on him.
This is going to be an exciting weekend!!
Dean and Sherry made arrangements for someone to come over and tend the goats morning and night so we will just be in charge of the chickens and ducks.

After Amber, Mike and the quads left earlier this week, I have been looking at all the art work and notes they gave us.

I think this summer they are old enough to do a painting on the exterior wall of the Christmas house that stores my decorations. Sam, Faith and Levi painted one side back in 2012 and I still love looking at it!

I just love this pic I took of Amber on the last day they were here.
They were up at the big tank fishing.
I lost this photo and somehow found it again.
That iCloud thing confuses me.
Still, I'm so happy to have this pic back!

Other special photos from today.......

Rayne is a member of the Turtle Club in Puerto Rico.

The leatherback turtles are an endangered species.

It was her turn to walk two miles of beach at 6:00 this morning looking for turtle eggs.
I am so looking forward to seeing her when she comes back to visit over Easter Break!

And now for a good laugh!!

*Facebook*

She is a gifted quilter and one of the most fun loving ladies I know!!
We became friends when we lived in our camper in Katy when the quads were babies.
Her husband and Mike worked together and I am glad for Facebook and Blogs that allow us to keep up with each other's lives!

And now I close with Louis Dean looking and feeling so much better!!!
He's been singing while I've been writing and he just sang Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?
That's the song he ends with whenever he sings to me so I know he's done.
Now it's time to pour a glass of wine, go sit out on the deck and listen to the wind chimes and the coyotes. I'm hoping we don't lose any critters on our watch!!

I love this photo of Amber, too! It is so full of JOY! And the beautiful sunset picture. SO glad that Louis dean is all back to normal now!! And that you finally have a toilet! The critter pictures are a great idea! And I can't wait to see your chicken painting. I just know you will be showing us some pictures of the hatchlings!

You got it... It was you. Love the wine in the shower - but you'd have to take care that the water didn't weaken the wine! Cheers

Sounds like a really good Thursday. Wow, the days fly by so fast in city and country, don't they! I'm kind of always surprised when Monday turns in to Friday so guickly!!

Linda, I am glad I do not have to go to the laundromat. But I am always thrilled when I see one in a town. We need them. Glad you had the laundry all to yourself. Love the early morning picture of Rayne on turtle patrol. She's a sweetheart. The picture of Amber is cute, she seems to be loving the country. LD looks happy to be singing. It tickles me when he sing that special song for you. Blessings to you both, love you, xoxo, Susie

i don't have a bucket list, but if i did, right at the top would be a visit to you and LD on The Farm, to personaly use the welcome sign over that toilet/commode/potty/john. LOL... i want to see the cows and pigs and chickens and baby chicks pecking out of the shell and goats and all you have there. i do not want the laundromat on my bucket list.

It's always nice to hear about and see what you are up to. It looks like that new room is a good size. I know you love to decorate and it's going to be a lot of fun creating a critter wall. I do love listening to wind chimes and have some here too, but still way to cold for sitting out.

I'm so happy to have returned to your blog to see Louis Dean feeling better. It took about a month, didn't it... just like mine. I love seeing your pictures, Linda... I think everybody has a County Line Road where they live. :-) Lovingly, Andrea xxx

LOL can't believe you really posted my crazy picture but it was fun. I mean hey someone cluttered up the wine shelf.. So Rayne looks for turtle eggs? What does she have to do if she finds them? Can't wait to see your chicken picture painted
