I woke up in Quadville this morning! That's always a 'Holiday' feeling!
Even though Louis Dean was still down on the ranch with his son I decided to go to church alone.
I love church. We are planning to place membership at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church soon.
I have been active in church since I was a little girl. We - or I - have been out of town or out of pocket since the end of August and have MISSED attending church services every week! It will be nice to have a church home again!
After church I attended a baby shower for one of my favorite people!
Brandy grew up with my Amber. Brandy and her family lived right across the street from us for many years.
Louis Dean was home when I got back from the shower. He was watching football - of course!
I hope I didn't get in his way when I started taking all the den gallery wall pictures down.
I think I have pretty much finished THIS wall!! There are a couple of paintings up there that need a few more sessions but I had to frame them so they could have a 'place!'
Next year the Santas I paint will live in the dining room.
The den is already full!
I didn't take pictures but I DID prepare a good birthday dinner for Louis Dean tonight!
He is now 77 years YOUNG and still talking about what he wants to be when he grows up!
His son sent him off this afternoon from the ranch with a great steak dinner....
so I opted for a healthy meal of baked fish, scalloped potatoes and a garden salad -WITH garlic bread!
Football is still on TV as I write. The Dallas Cowboys aren't playing tonight so I think I shall close this journal entry and take myself to bed!

Happy birthday to LD! He's a mere youngster.
Glad you found a church you want to make your home. It's important to have a home church.
I love it that you hang all your Santas together. It's beginning to look like Christmas at your house.
Loved your pictures, your Santa's are wonderful, and I'm getting so ready for Christmas. I too love church and have been going since I was 3. Then went to Bible College and met my dearest. So we were in ministry 47 years, and I loved being a Pastor's wife. We retired a little over 5 years ago to move to Southern CA and be close to our dozen grandchildren.
PS. Forgot to with your dearest a very happy birthday. Mine is celebrating 76 this month. Your dinner sounded so good.
How cute is the image of that sweet little mother to be and her pretty friend!
Happy Birthday Mr 77 years young!

Ohhhhh...the wall looks so good with all of your Santa paintings up. I really like the second one in on the top left row. Adorable.
Hope that you had a great sleep after all that up and down the ladder bit.
Your Santa wall looks great. You're such a good artist. I think LD is doing great for his age! I had no idea he was 77. He must be a happy man then. Methodist is my religion too. Glad that you found a church to enjoy going to again.
