Halloween 2020.....

The Bell kids are playing hockey - as in the full fall season - something they have never done before!
They are on two different teams.....Kailey and Trystan are on one and Harrison and Logan are on another.

Saturday they had games at the same time - in rinks right next to one another - so we could watch both games at the same time. Kailey is so cute! I was taking a selfie with her and she said, "Here, MeeMAw! Let ME do it!" And, naturally, she takes better tpcs than I do!

Trystan was so excited! She made FOUR goalies in her game!!!!
Actually she made 5 but one of them went up on the scoreboard and then they took it off. No clue why.

I dressed up in costume as this would be my only public appearance on Halloween!
It was worth it all when Trystan saw me! She was just about to go out on the ice - yes, we got there on time to see the entire game(s) start to finish! Her eyes widen and she smailed so big and did a up and down jiggle!!

We came home right after the game by way of  Whataburger!
We sprung for the whole thing - #5 meal deals with large fries, large drink and really LARGE burger!!
WHAT a burger!!!!
I couldn't eat all mine so it would be a midnight snack for Louis Dean later.

Sadly, I have no photos of our Halloween here at home.
Normally Louis Dean and I are sitting out on the porch sipping wine from our goblin globlets and taking pics of the trick or treaters as they come up the drive.
We had one that I answered the door to and one for Louis Dean.
The others would see the chair with the giant pumpkin on it and read the sign that said -
Happy Halloween! Please help yourself to some CANDY!
By 9:00 the candy was gone and we turned off the lights.

We did have a bright spot in our evening, though.
Tim and his daughter, Nicole, came by for a little visit.
They lived across the street from us for several years and have come back every Halloween since they moved. 15 years they have been on my front porch. No, 14! In 2012 we were in Katy, Texas with the baby quads. In 2013 the Bells moved back to Dallas!

Speaking of babies......in  2016 Amber and Mike drove over to surprise us on Halloween night.
I remember that time.....we were laughing and handing our candy and then here they were!!!

Four years later!!!
Harrison was an egg - to go with his friend's bacon costume!
The girls look amazing! Kailey was a werewolf from Disney's Zombies 2 movie,  Logan a perfect Snow Queen and Trystan made a good Huntress!

Speaking of amazing!
Amber is beautiful and Mike is equally handsome.
Amber and Mike hosted a very small Halloween party in lieu of trick or treating.
The guests are all in their class at school. All four quads are in the same class and there's no changing classrooms. Makes good sense in this time of Covid danger.

Chandy was doing much the same in Snyder with her four children.

Kaitlyn, Piercyn, Bella and Jaxon!

Little Bella Boo aka Little Chandy!

She opted for a church sponsored event and there was plenty of FUN and CANDY!!

I'm looking forward to next year when we can do our traditional Halloween fun things.

Today (Sunday) we continued the series at Fellowship Church with Ed Young - There's a Snake in the House! The LINK to Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas....

Louis Dean continued working outside on the other deck now - which will be more complicated since he has to put a sump pump under it. I took down all the Halloween decorations and packed them all away and fluffed up  the sewing room where they were. Still fall and still looks nice so I lit a candle and called it done. We may be having visitors this week so I am waiting until they come before beginning the Great Fall Take Down! We leave for the ranch on the 11th and I want to have a clean canvas to work with when we come home. It will be time to put Christmas up and I can't wait to see how I am going to do that!! I very well may do the gazebo up in Christmas Cheer before we leave.
One year that was the first 'room' I decorated and it was the very BEST one!!

Tonight I made us a Sunday night spaghetti supper ......

to go with Sunday Night Football!
The herbs for the garlic bread and the onion and peppers are from my herb garden.
I had to use a flashlight to go out and get them!

The Cowboys were ahead when I started this journal entry but they are behind as I finish.....
and that's all I have to say about that.

Goodnight, Folks!!

Amber looks so gorgeous in this picture. Well, at least you got to see the Quads, and seeing them play may be even more important them Trick-Or-Treat.

We just had two trick or treaters plus Landon. Too much candy left to tempt us for sure. Loved seeing the quads and how they are expressing their personalities in their costumes. I took down all my Halloween things, put up a few Thanksgiving decorations and called it done here.

Great pictures and Amber looked beautiful!! Our Halloween was quiet as we prefer but the whole neighborhood was this time. Our church hosted at party too as they always but different because of the virus. It is a safe alternative for the kids.

I can't believe how grown up the cords look and how much they changed in the four years between the pictures. And I always have all these precious memories to go back and look at and remember what a happy life they had. Amber is a beautiful witch!

We don’t have many kids in our neighborhood but we had some tricker or treaters here! I was surprised that our township had it since we are in one of those states that has a governor still controlling and locking things down.

Your dinners always look so inviting. You make SIMPLE look beautiful.
So glad you got to see the Quads play and I love how happy they are to see you.
We went to my sons for dinner Halloween night..no trick or treaters there or around our home when we returned.
So sad how much things have changed in a years time.
I can't wait to see all of your Christmas Debris when you return from the Ranch.
Stay safe...you sure enjoy LIFE.
