Louis Dean went with me to Fort Worth this morning.
After all, she went shopping with him last June looking for THE perfect one.
She picked it out for him months before he got it!
He looked high and low and eventually bought the very one they found together that day in June.
He is proud as a peacock of it!
He sang to Mother for about an hour.
Lunch was at Red Lobster today and Mother enjoyed it!
She ordered a LARGE bowl of Clam Chowder.
When the server brought our meal he had a SMALL bowl.
I took one look at it and said, "We're going to need MORE soup!"
So she ate both bowls down to the last drop!
PLUS three Cheese Biscuits! To make up for the mistake in the soup order, Mother waltzed home with a bag of biscuits for later!!
On our way back from lunch we stopped at a garage sale.
Good buy for $15!
Glad LD managed to get it in the trunk!
You can see by the bag we had shopped Tuesday Morning on a Friday afternoon!
The toy cleaned up nicely. Louis Dean put fresh batteries in and the babies were checking it out!
The babies are so much fun to watch!
I found old fashioned plastic barrettes at the Dollar Store!
Logan and Kailey looked cute with their hair pulled over.
The barrettes stayed in for nearly an hour!
It is so nice having Amber and the babies near enough that we can drop in for a couple of hours.
We had a really good Friday.
Since we stayed up late last night and got up early this morning we were pretty tired when we got home late this afternoon. A short nap followed by a makeshift supper of odds and ends found in the fridge and a couple of TV programs made up our Friday night.
Blue Bloods is over and I am going to bed.
It's still flannel nightgown weather here and I am going to enjoy it!

So nice to see LD with your mom!! And those babies are growing!!
What a good day you had! I loved seeing the little snippets of movies of your day.
So cool that Mama's guitar pick, is the one he got!
Ohhhhh those wee little old fashioned barrettes!!!! Oh precious. I so hope you'll keep putting little things like that, on the girl's hair. I just love little girls with something in their hair.
And the secret is just what you did. Do it early. Consistently. It becomes Natural to them.
:-))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I KNOW!!!!
They are NOT my 'Grand Girls'! I know, I know.
Just let me have fun, and muse about putting cute clips, in their hair.
It's been so long since I've had a wee-girl-one, to "play with." -grinnnnnnnnnn-
My wee one wouldn't let me put things in her hair. She was very opinionated even back then..LOL
Still is but I love her.
LD would have loved all the guitars we star at the Gibson factory in Memphis. He'd been in hog heaven. ;o)
