A Fort Worth Friday and a Synchro Saturday!

You know I am ALLERGIC to mornings but it was worth getting up early yesterday!
I was in Fort Worth before my coffee had even kicked in! Deanie and I curled up on her couch and visited like all get out! We had SO much to catch up on and when Mother is with us we have to speak  s.l.o.w.l.y.
We talked a mile a minute until it was time for me to pick Mother up at the Beauty Shop.

Lunch was the Cotton Patch Cafe.
They have big comfy booths and Mother loves the chicken and dumplings!
Since Mother's stroke she can't talk plainly although she continues to be a great communicator!
We drove back to her house (she lives with my sister, Nita) and she made me understand she wanted her favorite little pillow stuffed with fresh fiberfill! The old filling was all worn and in hard blobs.
If only I could have KNOWN this when we were at lunch! We were ON the Hobby Lobby parking lot!
No worries! A good Dollar Store is just a few blocks from her so off we went.
I bought an inexpensive bed pillow, ripped one end open and pulled out enough stuffing for Mother's FAVORITE little pillow! Win! WIN!!!
Now Mother thinks I can do ANYTHING!!

I stopped by Amber's on my way home. It's hard NOT to since she is so close!

I quickly gave them their baths and helped with the 3:30 feeding.

By the end of the day I had used up every bit of energy I had!
I did not do ONE SINGLE SPECK of housework!
(Unless you count the 20 minutes of damage control. LD was Home Alone while I was gone all day!)

Louis Dean played the guitar and sang to me as I rested on the couch.
I admit to watching 3 HOURS of TV last night!
Undercover Boss, Vegas and Blue Bloods.

I got up early AGAIN this morning!

The Pirouettes of Texas Synchronized Swim Team had a regional age group meet.
Amber was a PTX swimmer for 11 years and I LOVE everything connected  to the sport!

I have spent countless hour at the North Lake Natatorium in years past.
To this day I love the smell of chlorine and the sound of swimmers splashing in the water!

My favorite swimmer these days is the daughter of Amber's coach, Megan.
That's Payton in the center pic and her trio at the upper left.
She swam solo, trio and team!

Everyone is wanting to meet the quads now that Amber and Mike have moved back.
Amber's head coach was the very first of the synchro family to be introduced.
She has know Amber since she started swimming when she was 7 years old.
I think Harrison really LIKES her!!

The others were asleep but one by one they all woke up and were properly introduced.
There was a great deal of baby holding going on!

I admit to my tired hanging out!
I came home and went to bed!
When I woke up I just STAYED in bed and read my book.
Louis Dean is out of town so I took this opportunity to get some REST!
Later I unloaded some more clothes, toiletries, make up and odds and ends out of the camper.
I - at long last - have all my lingerie in ONE drawer again!
(actually it's more like THREE drawers but it IS in the house!)

I cleaned my bedroom, changed the sheets and lit the candles.
I think it's time to go to bed!
And I intend to sleep LATE in the morning!!

That photo of Amber's coach with Harrison is just precious. It's a mutual thing going on there. She looks like the kind of gal who has had Amber et al. much on her mind and in her prayers.

Of course, you can do anything! You mean you can't? ☺

"Auntie" sezzzzzz... Rest up, please.

Please Dear One, your bod is telling you to slow down and rest more. Tired bodies, catch "meandering" germs, ya' know.

Please.

Yes, I know I am a NAGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! But someone has to do it. Someone has to be logical, in comments, and not just sweet, sweet, sweet, all the time, in comments.

It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!!!! ,-)))))))))))))))

'A day in the life' is never boring at your place! How nice that the quads are now close enough to meet all those 'near and dear'.
