The Singing Pig!

The babies are getting BIGGER and STRONGER and it can be hard to hold them down long enough to change their diapers!

Enter the Singing Pig!!
You should see the babies eyes when he starts to sing!
"HEY, Good Looking! WHAT'cha got cookin'?
How's about cooking something up with ME?
HEY, Sweet Baby! Don'tcha think maybe -
we could find a brand new recipe?"

Speaking of recipes - these babies have a menu you would NOT believe!
The other day they had FRESH bananas mixed with FRESH avocado!
They gobbled it right up!
Actually nearly every bite that goes in their mouths is fresh organic fruits and vegetables.
Amber makes them herself and freezes them in 1 oz portions.
Each feeding is 3 oz per baby.
I took this picture yesterday and the featured foods were kale and pears.

I think they LIKED it!!

The quads have a LOT of interesting things to keep them busy.
We love to watch them 'play.'
WE call it play! I think they are actually WORKING!
They examine and discover and THINK and move!
There is a LOT going on here!
You can see them trying to figure out how to make their bodies do what it is they want it to DO!
You can also see (and HEAR!) their frustrations when they can't quite make it happen - yet!
It is so much fun to watch them when they accomplish something new.
They shriek with pride and happiness!

Logan worked so hard she wore herself out!
Plus she is teething!
They ALL are and they ALL teethe differently.
Some are fussy.
Some are not.

Just look at Kailey!!!
Give Louis Dean a baby - ANY baby! - and he can calm them down and even get them to sleep!
It is his special talent!!

As happy as the day was yesterday we were in for a shock when we arrived back at our camper!
It had rained during the day and we thought nothing of it.
Apparently the weather was a little more violent over here at the RV park!

It tore up Jake - as we used to say!
The wind picked the canopy up and twisted it before depositing it behind the camper!
It was back there on the grass!
Just one leg was on the concrete and that leg was bent!
Louis Dean and I pulled the top off -  the fabric was NOT damaged! - and he began to take it apart.
We had to undo all the light strands and take down the curtains.
The wind was so fierce it had blown open the freezer door.
My art tub, canvases I was working on as well as my sewing tub were out there and got thrown around and scattered. Thankfully we were able to gather and stow away all my 'debris' in the back of the truck.
We worked two solid hours after we got home to secure it all.
I guess this is about the time I must tell you I pretty much lost it!
Louis Dean calls it 'freaking out!'
For some reason all this destruction - of my 'nest' - just hit me HARD and I cried and cried and cried.
(But only AFTER I had helped him gather, store and make order! I get points for THAT, right?)
All my crying accomplished was to give me a terrible headache and make me look ugly!

Having the gazebo canopy greatly enlarges our living space and makes the patio area far more useful!
It also allows us to store stuff!
I took the wreath that had hung out there inside the camper and could NOT find a place to even sit it!

UNTIL I notice a perfect 'hook!'
I just may leave it there!

Today while I was over in Quadville Louis Dean was already at work preparing to fix that gazebo!

His truck serves as a shop and he carries every tool I can think of in it!
Thank goodness!

All in all - we still have so much to be thankful for!
So very much!
AND - tomorrow LD says he will probably have the gazebo frame repaired and ready to put up!
Friday night is a GOOD night to CELEBRATE!
I'm in hopes that is exactly what we will do!

Well Sis I hate that stuff like that happens, but it does let your readers know that you do NOT live in a perfect world. Your a good trouper. I about had a melt down myself yesterday so it must have been one of those days for the Ewing girls. LOL Love ya and sure hope you do get to celebrate the repairs ALL weekend.

Oh Linda, I am so sorry about all of the damages! I hope none of your paintings were messed up. Something must have been "in the air" because I got so frustrated with Charlie last night/today I almost exploded (and I think he is clueless).

The babies are growing so fast and are soooo cute!

Linda sending you many hugs. It is funny I thought something may have been wrong you very seldom skip a beat when it comes to posting the happenings in Quadville or at the camper.
Hope LD is able to get canopy up and we see pics of you both enjoying your newly decorated patio/gazebo area and a glass of wine.
Take Care

So sorry to see that mess - I don't blame you for the melt down. I would melt down too if I came home to a mess like that after being with babies all day....I know you are tired at the end of the day and then to face that! You are lucky LD has the "fixit" gene - he will probably make it better than before!!! I am awaiting pictures of the new and improved gazebo!!

Oh no, I know that feeling of just being overwhelmed and wanting to sit down and bawl your eyes out. But you are lucky to have LD, the tool man and I'm sure it will be fixed soon. Hugs coming your way.

So glad you were able to gather things back up and start would be even worse if all was totally ruined...but oh so much work.

What a mess! A scene like that deserved a good cry. Thank God you have a man like LD who can put it all back together again. Like the others I am looking forward to seeing pictures of the "new and improved" gazebo.

So sorry about all the destruction!

Another Full Snow Moon of 2/25th effect!

1.) My good blogging friend, scraped the skin off of her thumb 2.) Another friend had a day of everyone in her world, being cranky and "off." 3.) Now the destruction of your yard. And 4.) How upset you got, at this destruction. Cause crying hard, is a very unpleasant effect.

Oh that would be overwhelming and completely stressful. Sometimes life just is not fair. And when all you wanted to do was to sit down and relax. Sigh. Good thing that LD can do almost anything. You can, too, but you might not know it.

Oh those babies. Every night I hear, "How are the quads?" Sometimes we miss out because we've gone to bed too early. They are so healthy and strong and they all look beautiful especially with kale from one ear to the other. Keep up the good work, Quad Team. Their parents must be so very proud.

The babies are growing so fast. Such sweethearts.

LD has a big project for today. Hope your headache settles down and disappears. What a mean end to a very busy day with the quads.

Today has to be better. Maybe some extra cuddling and baby love.

Take care of you.

Yes, do get brownie points for breaking down after the clean up. Tears are a good thing, although it really does give you a headache! we all need tears now and then.

Oh, so sorry about the devastation at your RV resort!

What a busy nest of babies you have over there. Just too cute!

I am so sorry that happened to your home. I know you were not counting on that!

I can't believe what healthy food the babies eat. I am so happy and shocked.
