We are thoroughly enjoying having Linda Chapman with us this week.
She is the most perfect houseguest!
As an early riser, she has coffee in the den and has some quiet time before we get up.
She was in the living room when I came in Tuesday morning and told me,
"There was a battle in the bathroom and it was Candle - one! Pajama pants - zero!!
I had lit a candle in the bathroom earlier and she was dressing when she smelled something buring!
Poor pants!!!
We have laughed and laughed about this and I don't think Linda will ever live this one down!
Brenda picked up up at 11:00 and we hit up Texas Thrift first!
Can you tell whose cart is whose??
Mine is on the right and Linda's on the left with Brenda's in the back.
From there Brenda drove us to The Salvation Army in Dallas on Inwood.
Linda is a member of the Salvation Army Church and does a good bit of volunteer work at her thrift store in Canada.
Brenda found one or two things and Linda came up empty.
I filled another buggy!
We stowed our bags in the car and walked across the parking lot to Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse for lunch!
We are trying to hit as many Texas things as possible!
Here's some of my Tuesday Treasures!
The top left is a yellow crocheted throw for the gazebo as well as a basket and sign that are in there, as well.
Linda picked up the dessert trays which were folded up in such a way we didn't know what it was at first!
The eucalyptus is soft and fragrant and the cupcake pan is really heavy!
Sunflowers in the gazebo!
I'm redoing a section of wall in our bedroom and I love this frame set!
$4.99!
I love signs!
This will go in our bedroom too.
LED candle lights and a good book
At least I hope it is!
I have more books than I can read in the years I have left but I would rather have too many than not enough!.
One last sign and this one is in the dining room - the perfect place for it!
After we ate at the BBQ place - just as we were getting ready to leave - it started pouring down rain!!!
I had a small umbrella and gave that to Brenda so she could go get the car.
I also switched shoes with her since I was wearing a pair of Skechers that cold get wet.
She brought the car over and we got drenched just getting in!
We walked from the door to the car in ankle deep water!
We are having such a good time together!
Brenda and two Lindas = FUN!!

What a ball you have been having, right down to the burnt pants! I have bought that tiered dessert tray set, all hooked together and then they slide shut. I gave it to a friend as a gift and she said, "What is it?" I think my favorite is your frame set.
So glad the three of you are having a blast shopping, eating, laughing. Good for you! PS We'll take some of that rain off your hands.
I think I can hear the laughter from here! It is echoing across the Gulf of Mexico right into Florida! I am so happy for you all to be having so much fun! The burned pj's are too funny, but so glad it didn't become a disaster! Wow! I assume she wasn't wearing them at the time! LOL. I love all your thrift finds! Such fun stuff. We got some of your rain in the middle of the night last night. Woke us up with the thunder and lightning. But we needed it. Take care and keep having fun!
Glad you're having fun!!
hugs

Brenda and two Linda's, how could you not have PHUN??? Lovethe frame, that is a great bargain. the food look yuuuumy. makes me hungry. We used to have a Salvation Army thrift and it was the best with the best prices. it moved and no idea where..
The burnt pants was a bit scary, but you are having fun, that's for sure! :)
Sounds like a fun day! You all found some great treasures! I love your quote about having too many books! I am going to use that in one of my reading round up posts! Have a great day.
I’m glad this has been a fun week!
I guess the other Linda really was on the "Hot Seat"
Too funny but a bit scary too.
What a fun time you two are having.
Enjoy every minute.

What a blast you girls are having. Like teenagers. I love it! Wow, you never leave a thrift store without a full basket! I have the little folding tea tray packed away in the storage unit.
How fun to spend time with another Linda, and a blog friend to boot!
If we had a dollar for every book we have we'd be millionaires HaHa. We could open up our own Bible Book Store!!! You name it we got it!
Love and Hugs to both Linda's and Brenda!!! Fun, fun fun.
