Country Things.....

Grandson Robert arrived Tuesday night and we were so glad to see him!
This morning (Wednesday), Robert and I drove to Belton, Texas to Sunbelt RV Center and we bought a new AC replacement for the camper. I am so NOT a happy camper if I am HOT and it is always HOT in TEXAS! We came home by way of Hwy 84 in search of the 'Tomato Man.'

And we found him!
His name is Bill Weldon and you can find him on Hwy 84 coming our of Belmead Monday - Friday.
He is 82 years old and a true farmer!

On Saturday and Sunday he is at the bottom of Loop 340.
The tomatoes are AMAZING!!!

When we got home, Louis Dean had been steadily working and he was just finishing the bathroom floor. Grandson Robert painted the floor with Thompson's Water Sealer.
Within an hour and a half, the master electrician, Don, drove through the gates and checked out the new unit that we had just unloaded. I think he will be here Saturday to take out the old and put in the new! While Don, LD, Robert and I all sat out on the deck visiting, I noticed a wasp pulling a spider.

I don't know what kind of a wasp this was but it had beautiful iridescent wings.

Dean tells me the wasp paralyzes the spider and takes it to the nest for their babies to eat.

After Don left, Louis Dean and Robert went back to work and I started whacking up a batch of jeans that Robert brought me on his last visit.

The horses came by to remind me of their evening treat.
Tonight I gave them sugar cubes. Tomorrow will be apple slices.

Our dinner tonight was a late one.
I'm cooking outside on a hot plate in order to keep the camper cool.
Louis Dean got a second wind and squared up the finished bathroom floor and will be ready to frame the walls in the morning.
Robert and I will be going to 'town' to buy the shower kit.
We purchased the bathroom sink yesterday. Since this is Louis Dean's bathroom, he chose a laundry sink......

He wanted it to be big enough for a MAN to use!
No frills in THIS bathroom and rightly so!

I am enjoying these country days.
God has been so good to provide an electrician just when we need him.
God has blessed Louis Dean with amazing strength and perseverance at his age.
I am so impressed with this guy!
Next Monday will mark our 12th anniversary.
These have been some of the best years of my life!!

I have to be honest in saying - that as much as I am enjoying my time in the country - I am missing four not-so-little quadlings!
Trystan, Kailey, Harrison and Logan are growing and changing with each photo Amber sends us!

I am so looking forward to seeing all their precious faces soon!!

Harrison is 5 and knocking out these Lego sets for 7-12 years old - all by himself!!!
They are having a great summer and I am excited to get to join them soon in some of these adventures.

But for now.....I am happy being a country girl!

Seems as though you're making amazing progress. I'm amazed at how well LD has held up. He really stays with the task. Yes, I'm pretty sure there are four little people anxious to see you. Sounds like Robert is a lot of help. Having that bathroom will greatly improve your country living.

howdy there Linda, was glad to see you had stopped in, thank you for asking and yes, I've felt better. As long as the dreaded kidney stones are not MOVING...there is no pain or symptoms. When they start moving is when it gets bad. When they get reeeeeal bad, that is when you got get them surgically removed or blasted out. Been there, done that...quite a few times! ha ha LOL Glad you liked the posts and the pictures of the flowers and the gardens. I just love looking at the flowers, and making their pictures to share with others. Do you read Lorraine's blog---she had a beautiful wild looking garden with some of the prettiest flowers I've ever seen!--she's in Florida. Well, looks like y'all are having a great time there, ENJOY!!--and sure looks like that project is coming along real nicely!!---and FAST! Wow, those "maters" are something, did you buy a bunch?? We picked our first red ones this week. We picked green ones on Mothers day and our daughter fried them up for us!

Linda, Seeing Bill's veggie Makes me want some of that yellow squash. We drive by a house in the tiny ton north of us,Sharpsville, a family has a stand and they put out a coffee can to hold the money and trust people to pay correctly for what they take. Robert sure is a great helper. I know LD appreciates him being around. Your quads are growing. I still find it hard to believe they are five. You keep yourself busy , just like you do when you are home. :):) I do not blame you for cooking outdoors. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

I understand missing your quads. I miss my grands if I go too long without a visit. Harrison is amazing Linda. I cannot do those Lego puzzles.lol I try to help Landon and I am NO help at all. My mind just does not think in those terms. Looks like everything is going smoothly. I want one of those tomatoes for a BLT.

Your dinner looks so good! Spaghetti, right? The sink really does look nice; I would use it myself. Such a pretty picture of you between the two horses! So are you staying till it is all done, or just the bathroom? I think Harrison is very charming, and also brilliant! So now when he grows up, he will either be a photographer or an architect.

My goodness, the progress is amazing. I feel that I could come to Texas for one of those fabulous tomatoes. We're still eating cardboard up here. 🙂 Yay for an electrician and new AC. Saturday can't come soon enough! I know that you love having Robert's great help, too. Happy Days!

Would you believe that my grands didn't get out of school until today? Crazy. And they have to go back in August. Poor kids these days. I'm ready to complain to the governor on their behalf.

The Quad Squad is doing great. So glad to know a little of your happy plans!
