Our Last Two Days at the Ranch

Every day down here has been peaceful and relaxing.
I am beginning to think I am getting a wee bit lazy even!
Most of Monday was spent resting, reading and writing,

Dean teaches a Tai Chi class in Waco on Monday evenings and he invited me!
I got out there and joined them.

At the end he did a little section on weapons.
Looks like a dance to me.

Tai Chi is such a graceful thing to do.
I have been doing it at home and I am hoping to improve and be more fluid in my movements next time I am invited to a class.

This is in Waco, Texas!

The class was over by 8:00 and when we got home Louis Dean had spaghetti and meat sauce waiting on us. Delicious!

We meant to go home this morning but both of us were dragging our feet about it so we decided to stay one more day! After making our decision, we both went back to bed.

The weather has warmed up nicely and all the ice and cold is gone.
A wind blew most all day but in late afternoon, it died down.
Louis Dean put together the bird bath Amber had given us for Christmas,

We will bring it in when we leave.
Don't want those pesky goats to get it!

We even had a visitor come to it!

With the blue skies and warm weather we took our bikes out for a ride.

I'm still taking pictures of Louis Dean because I lost my hair do as soon as we got here and I have only wore make up once and that was last night for Tai Chi class.

Just look how ruggedly handsome he is!!
We rode down to the big tank.

Dean told me they all got a kick out of me thinking the decoys were real ducks stuck in the ice!

'Dead' Decoy Ducks!!
My city side was showing!

The water was clear and it was fun to feed the ducks AND the fish!

The goats joined us and tried their best to get some of the feed.

We save all our table scraps for them and I had already dumped out a big bag that they gobbled up quickly! Goats are ALWAYS hungry!

Goats are determined little cusses, too!

We came back to the camper and I spent some time writing while Louis Dean started dinner and then built us a campfire.

I have written Chapter 6 of my book with 3,602 words.
It's moving right along now.

We sat outside listening to the night sounds of the country......
crickets, peepers, coyotes, dogs, and the lovely crackle of the camp fire.

Goodnight from our camper!
Tomorrow we will be heading back home.

I am so glad that you decided to spend the extra day -that you just relaxed and had a good day. How wonderful that you are progressing right along on your book! I can't wait to read it someday.
Your Louis Dean is a good man-what a wonderful companion--as you are to him, I know.
Hope you have a safe journey tomorrow. xo Diana

Unless you change your minds again! An extra day is a gift...you have really accomplished so much writing. Now I did wonder about those dumb ducks allowing themselves to get frozen in the water. LOL! Sleep well...knowing you, you may already be home.

We are headed to our little house Thursday morning Linda. It is hard to leave when we have to come back to Alabama. I am beginning to think I could see us living there one day. Of course I would miss all my friends here...so we will enjoy the best of both worlds. That Louis Dean is a cutie...and what a good cook too. You are one blessed lady.

I suppose this is one of those "all good things must come to an end" moments. I enjoyed seeing the goats.. Will be interested in seeing how your day goes tomorrow.

Linda, I love how you get so much done, and you deserve 'rest'!
Is LD sexy? Yes! He's handsome, has a merry face, he COOKS, and keeps himself busy. I'm sure he can fix, or even build most anything, he spends time going with you...and gives you space! What's not to love? You are wonderful partners in life and love!❤ How blessed you both are!

I attended my first tai chi class today. I have much to learn and I'm not sure yet if it is for me, but I'm going to give it a try.
Your country life is serene.

That is so funny about the ducks!! I would have thought the same thing. I have heard that Tai Chi is wonderful for balance. Louis Dean's food always looks so good! I think the goats like you!

Did you ever think of moving down there? It seems so restful and peaceful. But I know you would miss your family and friends and all the things you have for you at home. Have a safe trip back home.

It sounds lovely Linda. Such a relaxing time for both of you. LD looks far younger than his age for certain! Glad you had some get-away time! Safe travels love!
