I'm Loving These April Days!

While I am not a morning person, and I tend to get up around 10:0 - 11:00,
I do love my morning routine.

I wake up and spend a few minutes in prayer and then check Facebook to see how my friends are doing and who needs prayer and who I can rejoice with as they share their blessings.
My  Facebook page is a blessing to me and I have made it where I only see my friends and loved ones.
No drama and trama for me.

This is my view as I look up to the sky as I sip my coffee and offer praise and thanksgiving to the Lord.

Louis Dean comes out and joins me and we do our devotional readings together.

Tabitha is bound and determined to escape so I catch her as soon as I wake up and put her in the guest room. Samantha follows easily.

The other morning when I picked Tabitha up, she gave me a good scratch.
That meant it was time to clip her nails!
This is her 'Ah, I'm so ashamed they caught me' photo.

Tuesdays are my favorite day day of the week.

My time with Brenda is so special to me.I  found  treasures as this sweet shawl and a pair of Sam Edelman sandals.

I'm loving that yellow handbag and the cool aprons.
 I wear one every day.

Since my hair is long now, I am looking into new ways to wear my hair.
It's kind of fun to reinvent my styles in fashion, decorating, and all things creative.

Louis Dean is my Knight in Shining Overalls!
He works on the projects I give him and that helps both of us.
But we do get tired more easily these days.

I serve good meals and try to keep a healthy menu.
Louis Dean has lost 50 pounds over the last few years.

At long last I finished my sewing room!

It's an overload of spring and summer1

I'm loving it all.....

More is always better!

This is my closet area where I keep my craft and sewing supplies.
I took everything down - shelves, baskets and pictures - everything!
Took it all out, sprayed it with Zep (a heavy-duty citrus degreaser and cleaner) and hosed it all down.

Loving the decorating  and the beehive thrifting from Tuesday.

Five years ago Louis Dean cut a hole in my sewing room ceiling....
He said it needed to be cut out since it was full of molded and wet insulationan.
NOT. It ws dry and has been an eye sore all these years.
I intend to get this ceiling area redone this year - one way or another.
In the meantime - I AM the Queen of Cover Up!

I love my baskets of craft supplies and tins and boxes of cards and such.

Finally the house is all cleaned and ready for the spring and summer season - more or less!
Louis Dean is a big help in fluffing up the outside walls and gazebo.

This was thrifted years ago and was in need of repair,
then we hung it in a different area.
We need to put the mirror in but I'm waiting to see if I want to paint it or leave it shabby.

I have always loved all things normal.

Fairy lights are in the window box.

Birds planted some honeysuckle here and I am so blessed with that!

It started three years ago and now it is going crazy and already blooming!

I was going out this morning with my coffee and devotional books...when I noticed two young possums eating their breakfast of fresh watermelon.

I did not want to disturb them...can you see there are two?

I love seeing critters here in the gardens....

I'm thinking these two are preschoolers.

Life is good and I am loving every single spring day!

Truly you are a living busy bee, getting so much done, and still time for devotions, cooking, cleaning. You are my hero!! Again, your thrift treasures are great, and I love the pictures of Louis Dean with his coffee. Your possums are cute, but since I had a mother and 6 babies living under the hood of my car....I must admit, I a little squemish when I see them. So glad they can have a good life with you. They sure are enjoying breakfast.
Have a blessed Good Friday and Easter weekend. Sending love and hugs.

What a wonderful surprise to see the possum kids!! I love the spring colors of the clothes you got at the thrift store. Your sewing room is like Spring in bloom! And I love how the blue curtains look with all the yellow!

Love seeing your thrift finds. Wow that window frame and box is really pretty, I love that! I feed the sweet possums too!--- they are very beneficial to have around eat ticks etc. I'm waiting and hoping to see babies, if she had any! Yours are adorable

So much beauty in this post...every corner and nook and cranny of your home speaks love and joy and Spring! I only had one question while looking at your sewing room so beeautifully decorated...where' the sewing machine? LOL. I love it! And those o'possums are so cute!! I know we have an adult one around here, but I don't know if it's a male or female or if it ever has babies. I'll have to ask it next time. I throw things like cantaloupe pulp and seeds, rind, grapes and fruits that are beyond their "prime" into the wooded area where I know she hides, and those things always disappear right away, so I'm sure she appreciates them. I'll have to remember to get some watermelon soon. Sounds good... Hope you and Louis Dean and family have a blessed Easter!!

I can just picture you and Dean relaxing drinking your coffee there. So nice. The baby possums are cute. So what is ZEP and why do you spray it on everything? I do love your sunflower room. Very happy place.

I hope you and LD have a lovely Easter!
(I'm thinking I need to get a sign like yours, about a nice normal family.)

Happy Easter! My only close encounter with a possum was a small one that got into our chicken coop several years ago! Scared our hens! We had to chase him out!
