The End!

The END of the Week End comes all too soon......but we are there tonight!

Saturday morning was THE most wonderful time!
Coffee, coffee, and MORE coffee!!

The critters were feeding at our feet.......
they are used to craning their necks around the spokes of a bar stool so they can get to their food!

Louis Dean spent several hours on his music - something he's not been able to do lately with that awful asthma! Thankfully it is SO much better!!

Summer and Raynie arrived in late afternoon!!
I LOVE those smiles!

Louis Dean played some music for them!

While HE played I was fluffing up the gazebo!
Hanging shower curtains - why hadn't I thought of that before?

We had the BEST time!

Summer LOVES being a mama and she is such a GOOD one!!

We had dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant!

I thought Raynie would love the 'Little Girl' bunk....and she did!

We closed out the night bundled up in blankets by the fireplace!
We even roasted marshmallows......those HUGE ones I bought earlier this winter!

We started off our morning with a great ham and egg dish a friend shared with me on Facebook.

We three then headed to Galveston!
It was a perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon!

We lunched at Benno's on the Beach - it's a TRADITION!

We enjoyed some beach time......

where everything is NEW to a child!

A little Beach Art.....

It was a beautiful day.......and we loved every minute!
But all too soon it was time to come home........
I napped on the way home and so did Raynie!

I guess this is as good a time as any to say.......

The End.......
of a very good weekend!!

When I first read this I thought it was the end of your blog and I was so sad. I'm glad it's just the end of your weekend. And what a nice weekend you had! Raynie is getting so big. Glad you had such a nice time.

Hooray for a lovely weekend!!!

Oh Raynie is growing into such a sweet little girl. Cute as a baby, but it's also so sweet, to see their little personalities develop, as they get a bit older. :-))) They kind of become 'little people,' as it were.

Go glad LD is better!!!!!!!!!!

What would we do without our beloved weekends? It's a great time to re-fuel ourselves for the week ahead. You're SO lucky to be able to just go to the beach whenever you want like that. For us, it's a 6+ hour drive for us to get to one. Looks like you had a great weekend. Glad you got to spend it with your daughter and granddaughter too.

That photo of Summer and Raynie is just too cute! I'm glad you all had such a fabulous weekend. We did too, but ours involved snowshoes!
