A Very Short Wednesday Post!

This is a short post because it was a very short Wednesday as the quads go!
Amber brought them around 10:30 and they were gone by 4:00!!!
They were just barely HERE!!!

It's always exciting to see who gets to ring the bell every week!
They take turns so I seldom open the door ahead of time so they don't miss out!

They greeted Mother and we didn't know much what to call her!
She's Granny to all the grandchildren - except Amber and Benjamin, who call her Grandma!
She's GiGi to the GREAT grands and so we tried that name but Harrison didn't like it!
I said, "What do you WANT to call her?" He said, "She's GRANDMA!" So Grandma it IS!

One of the first things we did this morning was try out the microphones in Granddad's music room!
I love how intent their little faces are!

They were mainly interested in saying, "Hello!!! Hello!!!" because the mikes made their voices so loud!

We did some color papers about shapes. I was impressed they know what a rhombus is!!! I thought that was just a diamond shape!

It was such a beautiful day that I decided to do a little yard work!
I had lots of helpers!! Logan would sweep some leaves up in a pile and then call out, "MeeMaw! They are ready to pick up now!" Kailey was a hard worker, too, as was Trystan!

I do love these little people!!!

We spent all morning outside! I was hugging on Logan and notice the expressions on Trystan and Kailey's faces!!!

Pretty soon my lap was FULL of sweet little girls!!!!
I didn't take a picture, but Mother was sitting out there in the corner.
I think she enjoyed watching the kids play and listening to them talk.

Kailey has a few favorite things here in the house and she goes right straight to them.
Here lately she has been interested in the small New Testament in a fabric Bible cover that was her mama's when she was Kailey's age. Every Wednesday morning she goes in the guest room and gets that Bible and carries it around with her.

She sat beside the sand box while the other three were playing and 'read' to them from the Bible.
Every week she asks me if she can take it home with her and every week I say yes. Still she leaves it where she found it in the guest room - hanging on a small hook.

We ate lunch on the upper deck and had chocolate donuts for dessert. Mother ate in the gazebo since the sunlight was too bright for her on the deck. Harrison was so thoughtful and took the bag to the gazebo and offered her one. They played while I cleaned up after lunch and all too soon it was time for reading and naps. We ALL found our places in the den and within minutes after reading the chapter from Little House on the Prairie - we were ALL sleeping!!! Louis Dean and I on the sofa and Mother on the other couch and four quadlings with blankets and pillows on the floor.

They were just waking up when their mother arrived!!! Harrison protested at going home by saying, "It's not DARK yet!!!!"
I promised them that next week they would stay much longer and we would have time to do everything - including a fancy tea party!!!

The house is always so quiet after they leave.
I put things back to rights and then went to my bedroom to try on all my clothes and pack my suitcase. This weekend is our Sisters Trip and Deanie, Nita and I are going to Galveston!
We are SO excited!!!

Facebook

I read Facebook out loud to Louis Dean sometimes and when I read this he burst out laughing!!

I'm calling it an early night! Something in the air must have given me a headache and all I want to do is slide in between the sheets and close my eyes!!

PS ...... here's a photo from Tuesday that I forgot to include!
Amber and her Grandma!!

Looks like another good quad Wednesday. It appears Louis Dean has himself a ready-made class. Expect to hear some singing out of that group soon. I can't believe that Texas weather. It's raining here in Oregon, imagine that.

Linda, I love seeing the kids. They are so polite. It touched my heart that Harrison took the donut bag to offer his great-grandma some. That little charmer. It will be nice to see him as he grows. The girls, is there any more fun than a lap full of giggling girls.? I love the women are angels sign too. Blessings to all, xoxo, love you, Susie

It was a short day but full of good, good things. These Wednesdays are a blessing to many people including you and the quads! :)

Your mother must have loved watching the kids play! Lots of activity that day, it was probably better than tv!

Have a great sisters weekend away!

Oh Galveston...Galveston♪ Should be a blast!

Those children are so smart and they realized that they were gypped! Next week will be back to what they are used to.

Great photo of Amber and your mom. You girls need to Fredericksburg. I think y'all could do some damage there. LOL
Can't wait to read about your adventures in Galveston.
