Tuesday Treasures With Brenda!

I do believe that Tuesday is my favorite day of the week!
Brenda works part time from home and is finished around noon or so.

We usually meet at the thrift store but this time I went to her house to see all her spring decorations.
Somehow I forgot to take any pictures! I am losing my touch!

We decided to shop the Thrift Giant on her side of town first.

As soon as I walked through the door, I spied this flower arrangement!
It was $14 and came down to a little over $10 after the senior discount.
Win! WIN!!

For $2 I bought these three hangers - not knowing what I will do with them.
I'm thinking I'll take them to the ranch and use them there.

This is hanging in the sewing room now.

And this is on the hall wall.

I hung this in the dining room since it goes with my theme in there.

Ten napkin rings will be perfect for September.

I love pretty things.....signage, faux fruit and veggies....

A pair of Clarks sandels that had no price tag.
FREE!

I buy a lot of candles because I burn a lot of candles.
They make me feel happy and warm and cozy.

Brenda and I were shopping the textile section and Brenda found a table runner for me that matches a set of dishes I have. Next she found some beautiful green placemats. A sister shopper pointed out two other place mats. Into the cart they went! As Brenda and I were browsing in another area, the sister shopper spied us and handed me four matching napkins!

We shopped three thrift stores - two Thrift Giants and Texas Thrift and finally Aldi.
I did have to stop at the Dollar store on my way home.
Aldi has a good stock of things but no dishwasher  detergent. $ stores are great!

It rained early Wednesday morning and the sky was beautiful!

I took my coffee out to the porch and had my quiet time.
This afternoon Amber came to help us with computer and phone issues and she was such a blessing to us. As seniors, we need help with technology and I am so grateful for all four of my children who keep me connected. They will most likely hand the torch to the grands in time to come.

Kimmy arrived just before Amber was leaving and LD  played some music for her.
Kimmy had some memory gifts from June and Aunt Tommie for the grand quads as well as me.

Playing for Kimmy.....

Tuesday's night supper....

It was really good!

My Knight in Shining Armour out watering the flower beds.
We finally packed and stored away all the Christmas things today.
Hopefully next year's transition from season to season will not be be as hard as it's been this year.

I do love this man!

I am so happy to be married to Louis Dean!
These have been the best years of my life and in June we will be married for 20 years. I've asked God for 25 but I treasure every day!

Clark's sandals for free! Was this because they forgot to put a price tag on them? You got some beautiful things!

Loved this post and all the goodies you found! What fun! And that Tuna Noodle Casserole sounds good enough to eat! I may just try that one. And I love that God led you to LD and vice versa. What a blessing for both of you!!

You always manage to find good treasures while you're out.
LD sure loves his music. He's got a smile on his face and a song in his heart.

So glad you are having some beautiful days with friends Linda....and yes, technology can be a trial at times. But we have to keep up or be left behind. That is what I tell myself.lol Have a blessed day.

It seems to me that knowing there is one day or event each and every week that is sure to bring us happiness helps us to move forward - and that is your Tuesday outings. About the tuna casserole, I made one for my children once when they were young and they very much disliked it. I never made it again but now that they are grown I make it for myself every once in a while because there is nothing quite so comforting as a tuna casserole; I just love them. Enjoy the sunshine and warmer days, Miss Linda! From, Maryellen

I grew up without casseroles because daddy would not eat them. meat and potatoes man with all the veggies he grew. glad the kids got over to help with your issues and hope they are working well now, phone and computer. Bob doesn't play, but he sings all the time. he sings Sinatra and that genre. knows all the words to any Sinatra. I made a Sinatra playlist on YouTube but he doesn't want to listen. I think it hurts his man self that he can't play it for himself, the TV is beyond what he can do.. only the channels that work with the remote that he has had for many years. when it quit I begged for another one, and they did find one but they don't use them anymore so sometimes it doesn't work well with the new stuff. no idea what to do when we need a new one

Good afternoon Linda. Finally getting around to visit my dear blog friends. My dearest had a bloodtest this morning and then I spent an hour on facetime with my grandson in Oregon.
You find so many wonderful things at your thrift stores, and I love seeing how you use them. I dearly love my candels and I have a friend that just always keeps me in the candels you knows I love. My favorite are the Sand and Fog since I dearly love the ocean.
Louis Dean is a very handsome man. Many men his age lose their former good looks, but not him, so very handsome and cute!! Love his overalls. Congratulations 20 years is a milestone! Looking forward to see where you will put up all your new goodies. Love and Hugs, dear Linda

You really find some great bargains. our little area has some thrift stores, but you had better be there early or everything is picked over and I'm talking like by 10:00. Louis Dean is perfect for you and he is such a handsome man. Glad you and Brenda have such common interest and enjoy your outings...

We do not have as many really nice thrift stores as in your area, Linda, but the one I usually go is where I also buy candles and most are unused or hardly burnt. That was a very sweet video of LD singing such a great oldie by the late Big Bopper.

Linda, One day I am going to come sing with LD. I love seeing him happy. I know you are the real reason why too. Blessings to all there. Love you guys, xoxo, Susie
