Tabitha is the smartest of our two cats and is my constant companion to me especially at night.
When we have the attic fan on - as we have had the last few days instead of the AC - she is rightthere with us in bed!
She gets some loving from Louis Dean and then settles down at my feet for the night.
When I get up to go to the bathroom, she follows me back to bed and cuddles up at my side.
I love our kitties!!!
Tuesday was my Thrifting With Brenda and I finally found a bramd new coffee pot for Louis Dean.
He broke his and then 'stole' my coffee basket but it didn't fit his - and yet I have not seen my basket since then. He LOVES it and all is well in our world.
I bought myself a new one at the Dollar Store the other day so we are back to our regular coffee routine!
Wednesday was a busy one!
I bought an organ back in 1983 and I am so past that stage in my life.
I wanted it to go to the curb!
I also bagged up my music books and was ahppy to see it GONE!
It wasn't easy but between the two of us - we did it!!
I bought this organ in September 1983 after my house fire in June of that year.
I took lessons and tried my best to play songs that my family recognized.
Back then my family bought me ear phones so they didn't have to hear me practice.
I admit - I was never very good and yet I kept trying for years and years.
It felt good to take this to the curb and I was happy when someone picked it up the next day!
I had sacked up all my music books in a bag and hope someone can enjoy it!
I made my visit with Brenda for Tuesday Treasures.
We both found a few but I only took pics of this coffee pot!
Louis Dean broke his pot last week and has been using an old one but it's a challenge.
He was SO happy when I showed him my treasure! $9.99!! And it was brand new!
After thrifting, I shopped Aldi for treats for our Halloween Trick or Treaters!
We ended up giving out most of this but Louis Dean will enjoy the remains.
Louis Dean is the best sport ever!
He unloaded all my Christmas tubs on Thursday- and there were MANY!
Do you see what I see??
Tabitha has figured a way out from the bedrrom - she bumps against the screen door and there she goes!
Note to self.....keep the screen latch on when the door is open!
Louis Dean and I worked hard all day Thursday with taking fall our and Christmas in.....
but at 4:00 in the afternoon, I took a hot shower and LD took a good long hot bath!
By 5:30 we were outside on the driveway with a meat/cheese/cracker tray and glasses of wine.
Ilene joined us and we had a nice Halloween evening with some sweet trick or treaters and I had a platter of cheese, crackers and ham and salami with glasses of Sauvignon Blanc - our favorite!
Can you say ,"Trick or Treat?"
Yes!
But he didn't.....
We had a lot of fun and it was good to have to stop our work and enjoy seeing the young people out and about and having a good time!
Instead of walking the neighborhood, the parents drove their children to the houses that were obviously welcoming the Trick or Treaters!
We had fun and I turned off all the lights right after 8:00.
Most of the treats were gone but Louis Dean will get a sweet snack day by day.
We are making so many changes in our life right now!
I'm switching from Spectrum back to Frontier where I first had FIOS back in 2003!
Our equipment was now obsolete so it was like a 'new' installation.
I haven't cancelled Spectrum yet so our Internet connection goes on.
I'm decorating for Christmas and will be doing a different them for each room and I am excited about that!
The kitchen is all about Buffalo plaid and Christmas plaid.
I used two tableclothes to add to the curtains....
and I'm loving it!
Making the transistion from Fall to Christmas!
It's a lot of work but I am focussing on one area at a time.
I'm in my Happy Place!
My dear friend, Sharilyn, sent me this beautiful one of a kind quilt and I am so blessed and humbled for her gift. So many stitches and prayers in this gorgeous quilt and I will use this as a prayer reminder for her as sge is having some health struggles.
I love her and hope to fly out to Utah to meet her someday.
We are due for a real life hug!
I close tonight's journal entry with the Santa painting for 2025!
Amber found this and it is PERFECT!
I'll give Amber the original and make a canvas copy for me....
Amber is helping me order the Christmas cards for this year....
I changed my address book last year and missed a few friends so if you would like a Christmas card please send me your address by email.
The cards are my gift to all of you for your love, encouragement and support.
The give away this year will be the Green Santa playing the guitar.
I will start the giveaway with this post and will pick the winners (I hope to have two Santa canvasses to give away) on Monday , November 25th!
May I be the first to wish you a very Merry Christmas Season!!

Again, you are a busy girl, and the cats are, too!
"On top of the house? No, girl! Get down or I'm calling your mom!"😃😍
When I go to Goodwill, I often wonder why someone donated things. And this coffee maker is so new, wonder why they gave it away? As the song goes "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" at your house!!
Your cat sure does love you - brave out there on the roof. It's funny how coffee is so important - but it is - I have to have a cup every morning or I don't function. You sure do keep busy - lots of changes. Looks like Christmas.
