A Happy Sunday!

I knew when I woke up this morning that I had turned the corner and it was going to be a good day!
I could breathe again and my coughing was not nearly as bad.
That being said, I still opted to stay home and use this one last day to rest up.

I didn't do any heavy cleaning or any really major undertaking......but I did putter.
I put the black and white things I bought at Hobby Lobby after Christmas out in the dining room.

I have never done black and white before.
It looks and feels crisp and clean/
I used the dishes Louis Dean loves so much......Corelle Classic Winter Frost.
He brought complete settings for 20+ with him when we got married.
He loves these dishes! He also has two big bowls and 2 two large platters.
He also has a complete set of the white Corelle dishes with the little blue flowers around the edges.
These live in the camper.
He was impressed I used his dishes on this table and the one for January, too.
I bought some plain black paper plates to give a little contrast.
I set the dining room table up every single month of the year and - most months - I have guests there.
Or at least one guest!
Brenda and I have lunch together once a month if at all possible and sometimes she's the only one to sit at my table. We have missed our January lunch and I am hoping we will get in a February one before the end of the month!

I bought the coordinating ribbon when I got the tablecloths.
I thought the bow kind of pulled the look together.

I'm loving the new chair covers and hope to buy sets in different colors through the year.
Black ones would have been nice here.

Since my motto is 'MORE is always BETTER' I added the bows to the lamps.

It's a new look for our dining room but I like it.

So what was Louis Dean doing while I was puttering?

Shelling pecans!
He spent about two hours out in the gazebo and had a good sized tin of pecan pieces to show for his time. We didn't get an abundant harvest this year but we are happy we got as much as we did.
After I took this picture - and now that I'm feeling better - I realized it was past time for me to cut his hair!

Every time I start to give him a haircut he says, "Mama sent me!!"

He is so cute!!
How many 83 year old men are CUTE??
I can think of several.....

That was our Sunday and we are gearing up for a new week.
I have Physical Therapy tomorrow afternoon plus I want to get a hair cut before I go.
Then an appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday .....which I may reschedule so we can go down to the ranch before the rain comes back in. I am SO thankful to be feeling better!!

Amber sent me a text message tonight saying I should have a delivery on my front porch.
I opened the door and there really was a package!
A thank you book from Amber for my volunteer work at the book fair last week.
She is so sweet and thoughtful!
Louis Dean and I read aloud together every morning and tomorrow we will start this book!

While I made the book fair, I missed the hockey tournament the kids were in this weekend.
Kailey played the goalie position today!

In closing this journal entry - I have a memory from two years ago.
It was our 2018 Sibling Trip!

Nita and Lonnie.
We ate at Benno's -which is a tradition!

Lonnie smiled!!!

Deanie and I......

These are such good memories!
We will be getting together on the very last day of this month and I am so looking forward to us being together again!!

You cannot go wrong with Black and Ehite. I read that every room needs a touch of black and I totally agree. What a sweet daughter you have to send a great book as a thank you gift. It always means more to me when my children sow appreciation for the things we do for them. Gratitude should always be our attitude in my opinion. I have several gifts I need to purchase for Birthdays etc. It is better to give than to receive for sure.

Well I can’t handle whatever..., but I know the One Who can. 😉

So glad that you are on the mend. Love the new decor in the dining room. Who knew that black and white would look so nice there?! You did!

Your husband is not only cute, he’s downright handsome. He looks like a movie star. No joke.

Have a blessed week and a fabulous time at the ranch!

you are back! when you start decorating and moving things around and nesting, we know you are back to normal. I love black and white for just about anything or everything. I think I have black white leggings, about 5 pairs in black and white. that said I have never in my life SET a table. not even to eat at. Mother used to do it once in a while but never to let it sit and not be used. I like the chair covers too... enjoy your nest with the cute guy...

Your black and white theme is lovely. Your home just says, Come on in, you are always welcome...lets have a cup of coffee. Would love too.

Memory pictures of family...how special.

My batteries are recharged today, and I'm ready with the Lord's help to face whatever the day brings. The sun is shinning...that's a good sign, and we see the pacemaker doctor today...that's even better.

Love and Hugs.

Linda, your home is always so inviting. It says come on in and "set" a spell.
Love the black and white. It looks so crisp and clean
Your Darling LD is so precious shelling the pecans.
I just gave my Honey a haircut too. what an improvement.
I'm so glad you have turned the corner and feel so much better.
I know that going to the ranch will be a definite pick me up too.
The last thing on your post is super...I needed that.

Glad you're feeling better! My brother rarely smiles in photos either - whenever we see one of him we say "He's smiling on the inside" ;)

In this fashion my acquaintance Wesley Virgin's adventure begins in this SHOCKING and controversial video.

You see, Wesley was in the army-and shortly after leaving-he discovered hidden, "SELF MIND CONTROL" tactics that the government and others used to get whatever they want.

As it turns out, these are the same tactics many famous people (especially those who "come out of nothing") and elite business people used to become wealthy and successful.

You probably know how you use less than 10% of your brain.

That's really because most of your brainpower is UNCONSCIOUS.

Maybe this expression has even taken place INSIDE your own mind... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's mind around 7 years ago, while driving a non-registered, garbage bucket of a car without a license and $3.20 on his debit card.

"I'm so frustrated with living check to check! When will I get my big break?"

You've taken part in those questions, isn't it so?

Your very own success story is going to happen. You just have to take a leap of faith in YOURSELF.
