Short and Sweet! Our Monday!

Louis Dean and I spent a leisurely morning reading and drinking coffee out in our gazebo!
I love Mondays! That's our 'at home' day each week when I fluff my nest and keep house!
I went INSIDE and LD stayed OUTSIDE!
He had taken a section of the outside of the kitchen wall down yesterday to check on the electricity and today he put it all back! Finished!!!!
I actually asked him 'WHERE is Louis Dean and what have you DONE with my husband???'
I have never known him to be this single minded!!! AND organized!!!

He went straight to work on the electricity in the gazebo!
I will have more outlets out there than most people have in their living rooms!

I am methodical in my housekeeping. I start at one end of the house or the other.
Today it was the den. I am always dismayed when I see the lights go out on the wreath that hangs over the mirrors! Seeing as how I will be having some foot surgery next week, I felt COMPELLED to put up new lights today!!

You can see for yourself what a difference they make!
You can also see that I watched my very favorite Bond guy, Daniel Craig, in Casino Royale!
It's the little things that make my life so wonderful to me!!!
Movies in the middle of the day. Sleeping until 9:00 in the morning and staying in bed until 10:00!!!
Getting a second wind at 9:00 at night and staying up till the wee hours of the morning!!
I do love my life!!!!

I admit to being pretty disappointed in not getting to go down and spend some time in our camper at Louis Dean's son's ranch. I was looking forward to some down time to work on the book I'm writing.
Then I realized I can carve out some time to write no matter where I am - if I just DO IT!!
So today I DID!!!
I devoted an entire hour to rewrite the first chapter of my book and it was 2,965 words!
This winter I wrote the first THREE chapters and then realized with further research that I needed to REWRITE them! I made the mistake of DELETING the chapters!! But not before I had printed them off so I could retype them with corrections. My daughter, Amber, is a professional writer and admonished me to NEVER delete!!! Just revise!!! I was afraid I would get confused but I will not delete again!! I have determined to spend at least one hour a day writing!!! At home or at the ranch - I can DO this!!!

I love the Timehop Facebook has but I'm always aware of the anniversaries of Louis Dean's heart procedures! He had a heart attack in 2009 while he was in the heart cath lab with the specialists working on him. That resulted in a heart attack with NO heart muscle damage.
Talk about perfect timing!!
Then two years later he was experiencing heart attack symptoms when I took him to the ER.
Praise God for the care he received and I continue to praise God for every single day we get to spend together!!!

And I am!!!

Sounds like you had a good day. Now, about all these lights, I can't get a handle on what you have going there. Perhaps some day I'll make another trip to Texas and invite myself over just to see what you've been doing all this time that I was unable to figure out. LD has done very well for months now as well as yourself. A winter or so ago I was concerned. It's wonderful to see you both in good health and going full speed (except for toes). I certainly understand the heart issue. Bob had his heart attach about 1996. That's a life changer. Teaches you real quick what you need to be thankful for and what your priorities need to be. Yes, definitely, you need to be writing every day. Keep the flow going. I've typed manuscripts. I'm with Amber, never delete, just edit. You can always change the color of type to help or use highlighting. When you're through it's simple to take out and bingo you have a good text. Listen to Amber.

Linda, I think you are more my sister than the four I have. Shhh. All my sisters and I have things that are alike or similar....but you are so like me. We think up beat and count our belssings...no matter what. We appreciate. Sounds like you and LD have everything going well now at the house. Yes, you will be happy while getting well from surgery that you got everything done at home. Plus when you go to the ranch, you will be able to walk all you want. Linda, I can't wait till your book is written. I know the stress of some one with heart troubles. My Teddy has a stent...will be on heart type meds, even though he never had high cholesterol or a heart attack. Blessings to you and LD. love you guys, xoxo, Susie

Yes, when you are given lemons...make lemonade! You CAN write anywhere! Sorry you were unable to make it to the camper, I would have disappointed also. You and LD are one busy couple. Glad you are enjoying life.

I love housework, baking and making our little nest a place we enjoy. You are the queen of doing that with your home and what a wonderful new Gazebo. You and LD work so well together and apart. That sweet!

Nothing prettier than a grateful heart!

I didn't realize that you were writing a book! How neat! I bet it's therapeutic to write about your life too. I hope LD continues to have good health since his last heart attacks. That's so scary! He's lucky to be given second chances. The men in my family that had heart attacks weren't so lucky.

I want to read that book too. Good luck with your surgery. I hope you get along okay. I'm sure LD will take good care of you. Hugs
