Fall Craft With The Grandkids!

Today was a FUN FALL FRIDAY!!!

I forgot to take pictures of my Mother but I spent several hours with her this morning.
She is back to her old self after the surgery to remove the cancerous mole on the side of her face. We had lunch at the Black Eyed Pea and I had TONS of photos to show her!! She and I had a good visit and were glad we had the time to 'catch up!'

I left Mother to take a nap and headed to the grandkids' place!
I arrived in time to set up the craft table before going with my lovely DIL to pick the kids up at school!

I LOVE it that they get so excited when they see me!
This is Levi and I think every family should have a fun fellow like him!
But only ONE!!

An artsy pic of Faith and me!

This is my first born grandchild, Sam!
He is the spitting image of his handsome dad!

I missed his 10th birthday but came bearing his gift!
(Too bad he already has one just like it!)
What in the world do you get for their birthdays and Christmas??

The grands live in such a pretty neighborhood!
I love driving down this pretty forest covered lane!

We started our fall project as soon as we got home from school -
painting the blocks and then allowing them to dry.

All the kids love Peach Cobbler and today was Faith's very first time to make it all by herself! She did a bang up job of it, too!!!

I SO enjoyed seeing Faith in the kitchen!
She is a true homemaker in the making!!!

The cobbler was ready for the oven!

And we went out to finish our fall craft!
I neglected to take a picture after they put the letters on the blocks.
F A L L
The project turned out very nicely!

We had a good time together!

Faith's Peach Cobbler was perfect!!!
She copied down the recipe on her very own special recipe card!
Now she can make it anytime she wants!

You can find the recipe HERE!

We're already making plans for our November visit!
Next month I will be picking them up and taking them HOME with me!!!
Sometimes you just need to go to MiMi's house!!!

Our Fall 'Gazebo!'

We are all dressed up for fall outside our campsite!

The canopy makes this space more usable for us. Kind of like an extra ROOM!
When cold weather arrives - if it ever DOES! - we can lower the back side for further protection from wind and rain. Right now we leave it open so the air will flow and keep it from being a regular hot house!

I know it looks like I'm setting up for a Fall Festival!

I brought from home one of my favorite fall paintings. I painted it several years ago but I still love looking at it. We bring the canvas in at night and when we're not home.
The RV park is a gated community and has park hosts that drive around on a golf cart keeping watch over things.

But then we have Spider Man on guard as well!
Louis Dean had the bright idea of putting him in charge of the ceramic grill we use so much.

I love getting to see all my fall things!

Our campsite is towards the front of the RV Park - right across from the Rec building
so we get a lot of traffic going by.

It just makes me smile to sit out there after we get 'home' in the evenings.
We've had several other residents stop by and visit.

Just about every afternoon Louis Dean soaks in the hot tub!

He's so cute!!

Then in the evening we sit out enjoying the night sounds.
We're not watching much TV these days. I accidentally programmed it to Spanish channels! Finally changed that and now we get lots of Asian channels!
I did locate NBC and ABC but scrolling through all the others is not easy!!

I enjoy camper evenings. We have all the comforts of home and not as many responsibilities. I still have 'Damage Control' to do every day when I get home. More so on the days he is home alone! Tuesday and Thursday we are BOTH caring for the quads while Amber works so those days are easier on - housework wise!

For the most part at night we simply sit. Then we go to bed.

Not a bad life at all!!

All Dressed Up For Fall!!

I have had such a good time 'dressing' our camper for FALL!!!
I brought fully HALF of all my decorations back down here to Houston!

This is my favorite season and I am loving every minute of it!

Everywhere (except in the bedroom!)  I look - there's a touch of FALL!!

I am happy to say that Louis Dean and I actually eat at the table now!!!
When we're at home he often sweet talks me into having our meals in the den.

I like having a chicken coop at the end of the table!

Lots and lots of PUMPKINS!!

I am enjoying the coziness of 'home' - even if it IS a camper home!

I love all things 'Fall!'
The pot holders are from my blogging friend, Kathy!
Thank you, Kathy!!!

Our Goblin Wine Goblets are sitting on top of the fridge in the pumpkin patch!

My favorite wine on the right and a wine light made from an empty bottle on the left.
The pumpkin coffee cup was purchased in Marshall, Texas at Marshall Pottery.
It's my favorite and I drink from it every morning from September 1st to November 30th! The bag in the middle holds Fulton's Harvest Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur - another fall favorite!

I hope to hang a corner cupboard in this 'vacant' area above the TV.
The painting is usually displayed outside in the gazebo area but I bring it in when we're not at home.

My one pumpkin pillow!

I used a round tablecloth to add a touch of fall to the rocking chair.

The fall vest is a little too big for me but I couldn't resist using it as a window hanging.
September in Texas is still pretty HOT warm and living in a tin can camper can get uncomfortably WARM unless you keep the sun OUT!!

I love the lighted garland!
Louis Dean even put me in a special outlet so I could use plenty of lights!!!

We have a fairly good sized living area!

Added a few touches of fall to my bathroom.
My fragrance of the month? Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden.

A Fall Leaf necklace and my favorite cap make for added decorations!

And how about some oak leaves on the mirror?

So that's it for the Fall Camper Tour!!
I've been working outside decorating the gazebo makeshift area today.
I have to admit - we're having a grand old time living in the RV!
I have the best of BOTH worlds these days!
A camper home and a city home!
BOTH are now FALL ready!!!

The Four Faces of Tummy Time

Yesterday Louis Dean and I took care of the quads while Amber and Mike worked.
They NEED to work! Oh, my GOODNESS!!!! The quads are growing and they are drinking a TON of formula!! I swear I can SEE them growing before my very eyes!

Louis Dean is the official BABY HOLDER!!
He spends some time every day holding each one.

We do Tummy Time in the afternoons and it's always fun to see who is doing what!

Kailey Love kicked off one sock and decided to nap!
But she laid claim to her whole mat while doing it!

I don't think Logan was really in the mood for playing!
What do you think?

Trystan enjoyed herself and is smiling and beginning to coo these days!

Harrison is by far the most interactive one at this point!
He bats at the toys, smiles and coos and is so much fun to watch!

Since the quadruplets were in such close quarters before birth they don't seem to mind sharing space with each other!

We still aren't using the stove in the camper. Don't ask me why because I don't know.
I stopped by the grocery store on my way to Amber's and picked up the things I needed for a batch of chili. It is so handy to be able to cook our dinner over there and then just pop the casserole in the oven when we get home.
Although by the time we arrived home, did a few things around here and then sat out on the driveway - we thought it would NOT be a good idea to eat chili that late at night!
We snacked on other things but for lunch today I made a mean Frito Pie that was delicious!!

This is some of the scenery I see on my way home in the afternoons.
While most of this area is built up there are still many wide open places left!
I don't know what this used to be but I like the Burnt Sienna color.
Reminds me I need to pack my art supplies on my next trip 'Home.'

Can you see me??

I have begun the process of decorating our 'gazebo' area. It's really a canopy like vendors would use at a craft fair or something.
So far I had just unloaded the stuff from the car.

One thing led to another after dark!
I could not resist plugging in a few lights!

This is the Spider Man I found one day in the trash as I was walking Lucy in our neighborhood a few years ago. He's feather light so I hauled him home and have been using him on the front porch every fall since then!

I was SO excited to put up a fall garland and add little lights INSIDE the camper!

I thought I would not be able to do much in the way of decorating this year but I needed to THINK AGAIN!!!
I am loving this new adventure!

We turned everything off last night about midnight and returned to Amber and Mike's to do the night feeds. I like to leave the lights ON! It's like a celebration when the lights are ON!!

My day with the quads is done.
It's Friday and I know Amber and Mike like having time to themselves.
It makes me feel good that Louis Dean likes to have me all to himself in the evenings.

I was driving into the park and as I turned the bend to go to our camper I noticed a man giving his dog a bath.
I knew LD was planning on bathing Lucy but I did NOT recognize him!!
I SHOULD have at least recognized my dog!!

The dog's clean and LD already has his swim suit on so we are heading over to the pool. It's still 90 degrees down here and I think a cool swim is a perfect way to kick off the weekend!!!
