I was dressed and ready to go to the dentist yesterday!
As the Quads say, "Let's DO this thing!!!"
I took two Halcion tablets right before we left.....
and once in the chair and Dr. Joe was pulling out all his extraction tools, I piped up!
"Aren't I supposed to be loopy by now?"
He gave me the third pill and told me to put it under my tongue.
That's the last thing I remember until I woke up in my bed at 9:00 Wednesday night!
I slept for over 6 hours straight!
When I woke up, I was wearing the pants I had worn to the dentist but I had a soft flannel shirt on with one button buttoned all cattywampus!!
You can see by the clock that it was late. Louis Dean fixed me some chicken noodle soup - and I could only sip the broth - and then I went back to bed for another 10 hours!
I must have been tired!
Amber arrived this morning bringing everything from soup to yogurt to Jello, fancy tea and things to make protein smoothies!!!
We watched a movie together - one of our very favorite things to do and a movie I had totally missed seeing before.
Action packed!!!
I scalded my right hand this afternoon when I was making tea......and it is now covered in blisters....
so that Tylenol 3 will be a help to more than just my gums tonight!
I am so grateful for all the friends I have made through Facebook and the Blog.
My friend, Jutta, from Finland is a doctor. She is a dentist and now does research and teaching.
She has walked me through this whole ordeal all the way from the other side of the world!
What a source of information and encouragement she is to me!
And NOW for the Santa Painting winner - the second time's the charm!
Without any fanfare or to do, Louis Dean reached in and pulled out a name!
The winner of the Sledding Santa is..................
Debbie West!!!
Congratulations!!!
I won't even have to mail this since Sweet Debbie lives right here in town!!
AND I am invited to a party at her house on Sunday to celebrate her mother's birthday!
How cool is that??
I promise this will not be the last giveaway!
Tomorrow I start putting up the Santa Wall for 2017!
I have three new paintings for this year!
Plus I gave three away!!

Oh my, I do hope you’re feeling better. I don’t think you have much time to spare. The holidays are upon us. Hard to imagine how you’re going to work in another visit to the country. Get well quick, you have a lot to do.
Praying for you!
Halcion tablets? Is that what keeps you from having to be peeled off the ceiling with a spatula? I might vastly prefer that way of having a tooth extracted. I’ll be in the same boat come Monday. Not looking forward to it at all... Looks as if folks are taking good care of you! Take good care of your hand. Can you get your doctor to prescribe some Silvadene?
And where do you find these Halcion tablets? 😜 I'm so sorry about your hand and pray you'll be healing up quickly.
You still look beautiful, even after the dentist and in bed. I am so glad for a post...now I don't have to wonder how you are. Those pills really did a number on you----good! Sleep helps to heal your body. I am excited about the other giveaways! Because I have no artistic talent at ALL. Get lot of rest and only eat soft things!
Sounds like your dentist knows how to knock you into the next day!
When I see posts about Summer and Amber coming over with things to cheer you along, I miss my daughter even more. I remember those sweet, funny times we enjoyed. Those are precious memories, and I'll always remember!
Hope your 'days at the dentist' will soon be over. Wish I could afford that kind of work!
xos, Trudy
Oh my goodness. I hope you recover in all areas quickly. What an ordeal you've had!
Good for you...it's horrible to go to the dentist. Bravo!
Hurray to Debbie-she is one lucky gal!

Congrats to Debbie! I am thrilled for her and I will wait on your next giveaway. LOL! I hate to go to the dentist, but I am going to need to soon. Take care of that hand!
Linda, Glad you have all the dental stuff over for awhile. You certainly got some sleep. :):) I have 3 more days till I get this broken tooth removed...I pray it goes smoothly. I will be eating jello and soup too. It's nice that the Debbie lives near you and you can give the wonderful Santa painting to her in person. Blessings to all, rest up, love you, xoxo, Susie
That pill the dentist gave you must have been a whopper to knock you out like that. But good it did the trick. Hope you are all better soon. Take care and rest !
Sop glad the dental work is done and you are on your way to healing up. Take is slow, you need the rest.
YAy for Debbie winning the Santa... and a special delivery by YOU... so glad you had a doc friend to help and I must say you look a little LOOPY which is a good thing. I love that song at the top, have not heard it or seen it. will play it for bob. hope the hand and the mouth feel better today and prayers for quick healing.
Oh Linda....what an experience. You put such a good soon on it. I hope you feel better soon!
So glad you made it through your dental ordeal, as you know I hate going to the dentist too. That is terrible about your hand, I hope that and your mouth heal up quick!
Poor thing....how can you look so marvelous after having dental surgery? Feel better and pamper yourself!
Oh- I am so glad you got a winner and she lives so close to you. How special is that.
Your body just needed all that sleep to recover from the trauma inflicted upon it, Linda. I don't think people realize how much dental work can take out of you. God bless you and I hope your mouth heals quickly. xo Diana
Take is slow, you need the rest.

So sorry about your hand.
So, that third pill musta been a doozy! Sounds like you have great folks taking care of you. I believe I read somewhere where our bodies heal best while we are sleeping...so I'm sure those hours of deep sleep did you a world of good.
It's good having the dentist visit behind you, isn't it? I like getting those "big deals" out of the way.
I'm going to have to fit the word "cattywampus" into a post somehow. haha
