We are down to our last days here......we go home tomorrow but have already made plans to return in just 13 days!
Since I killed my phone, when Louis Dean has to make a run into Waco - I must go with him.
Thursday we were making some headway when he decided to use flashing instead of the tun we had to block off the northern corner between the camper and the room. This area faces due North and needed some extra protection. So off to Waco we went wearing our paint clothes and looking like the working people we are!
I'm loving watching the countryside change with each month.
This was a cotton field last year. Now it's wheat - oats - who knows?
I am yearning with all my being for the walls to go up next to the camper.
But I am doing my dead level best to be patient.
Louis Dean is working hard and he says his brain is plumb worn out with thinking!
I painted some more wall boards and did all I could do to help things along.
It's a tricky thing to be building a new room right next to the camper and then join them together at the seams. If anyone can do it - it would be my Louis Dean!
This was our sunset on Thursday!
This morning when I woke up, I could hear him already out there working.
Figuring things out is the biggest part of getting it done.
We had our coffee and devotionals and this was our view from inside the room.
When I first saw all the cows they were lined up facing us - even the baby calves.
As soon as I opened the door they started edging away.
Louis Dean has been working on the electrical outlets on the wall he's putting up.
Lots of oops and what was I thinking time later - he's still working on it as I write this at 6:20 Friday evening.
The highlight of the day down here was when they delivered Sherry's new tractor!!!!

This is one happy lady and Dean says he is in for at least two full years of marital happiness!!
I need to get Sherry this t-shirt!!
Well, Sherry's husband is so happy she has her brand new red tractor!
She's been moving dirt and doing stuff ever since it arrived this afternoon!
She asked me if I wanted to drive it!!!
I said no - but she could take my picture on it.
It has been an exciting day here on the ranch for sure and certain!
While Sherry's been working in the fields, Dean has been cooking in the kitchen.
We are having a celebratory dinner tonight!
He's making his famous ribs along with potato salad.
I made a banana pudding and meant to serve watermelon - but it was no good.
The goats and horses ate it, though.
Sherry had to go to town to buy diesel and picked up another one at Read's Grocery along with some fresh ears of corn to put on the grill.
I am going ahead and posting this journal entry early.
Who knows? I may still get a wall or two up before we go to bed.
I gave such great plans for these walls.
Maybe if I go out there and watch him work - it will happen???
