A No Work Day!

We took the day off from working on the bathroom or any other project around here today!
Fridays are always Fort Worth days!
When I woke up this morning I remembered my sister, Nita, was on vacation and Deanie was at a doctor appointment! I freaked out thinking I was supposed to TAKE Mother to the beauty shop as well as pick her up! Louis Dean and I went flying out the door! Halfway there I learned it was a false alarm! I must be losing part of my mind because I didn't REMEMBER that Charlie was taking her! No worries! We arrived early enough to have coffee with Deanie and Charlie and enjoyed a nice visit! We laughed and laughed! My sister is hilarious!!!

Our lunch choice today was Red Hot and Blue!
MORE laughing!!
By the way, Mother's speech was excellent today!
I could understand nearly everything she said!

Louis Dean really STUDIED that menu!!!

We did a little shopping at Charming Charlie's.......a bit of BLING BLING for my two oldest granddaughters upcoming birthdays.

After we left Mother's and headed home we ran into some pretty good rainstorms.
They have come and gone off and on all day.
It is now raining again as I write. Will make for some good sleeping weather tonight!

We spent some time with the babies late this afternoon.
That's one way to keep Louis Dean from working - a play date with the quads!

Trystan is the GOLDEN Child!

Kailey is a bit of a Bam Bam!

I took some toasted brioche slices with cream cheese for afternoon snacks.
Adults AND babies liked it!

Logan is the climber of the bunch!

That's about it for OUR Friday!
I did NO housework, NO sewing, NO gardening, no WORK of any kind.
Louis Dean did not even go IN his bathroom!

We will hit the floor running as soon as we wake up in the morning.
NOT!
But we WILL get busy tearing up that bathroom floor and hopefully start putting down the new tiles....
but only AFTER our coffee and reading!

You are such a "people person", Linda! I love hearing about your fun as well as all of your projects and day to day living. I know I sound like a gal that's always on the go as well, but believe me, I have more days of rest than you!!

Can't wait to hear more about the bath!

XO,
Jane

Sounds like you had a wonderful Friday! It's good to have days like that with no "to do's" on the list. Hope you have a nice Memorial Day weekend and are able to get your bathroom started.

We're definitely going to see them walking soon if Trystan is any indication. So cute! Love seeing the photos of you and your mom and I'm so glad that you had a day without all the work. A "down" day is a very good day.
