A Good Day and a GRAND Evening!

I am SO happy about getting down my first tub of sunflowers this afternoon!

I piled most of them up right here in the sewing room.

The transition begins.
I admit to adding these a little earlier than I planned but I enjoy them so much!!
My toe has turned red and is swollen - again. It has hurt more the last two days than in the last week or more. I thought - what can I do to cheer myself up? Sunflowers!
My toe still hurts but at least I smiled a lot while I was fluffing things up around here today.

I changed out the linens on the guest bed in preparation of my two house guests!

We picked up Faith, age 12, and Levi, soon to be 10!
We LOVE having them with us and have already laughed a lot!
On our way home we picked up pizza and the kids showed me their music from their iPad and iPod.

I am totally impressed with their memorization of the words and the way they can - what is that called? - something like Karaoke. I am going to learn a lot this week!
So far I know they like Twenty One Pilots and Migraine is Levi's favorite song.
They had spent the day at Six Flags with their aunt and cousins so they were pretty worn out tonight.
It was rather a novel thing for me to have grand kids that take their own showers and put themselves to bed. How cool is THAT???

However, Levi stayed up long enough to help me water the back.
Yesterday Louis Dean and I bought rugs for the upper decks.
When we went to put them down, we found some termite damaged wood and he worked on splicing in new decking in that spot. Levi worked around the debris and was a big help to me!
Tomorrow is Tuesday and we are going to do it up right!
Movies, Goodwills, ALDI and arts and crafts!
My hairdresser/friend and her boyfriend made a special delivery all the way from Midland of seasoned taco meat just ready to be cooked. Yulisa's mother sent it to us and we are going to have a feast tomorrow night!!

This is shaping up to be a very good week!!!

What fun to have Faith and Levi visit. I know they will be a big help as well as having a great time together. I will be praying for you about your toe. I feel so badly that it is red and swollen again. I hope it heals up quickly.

By the way, it is never too early for sunflowers. They are a summer flower, aren't they? At least they are blooming all over around here.

Sorry to hear your poor wee toe is red again, I hope your medical team can shed some light on why this is happening. Love the sunflowers, I always think of you when I see them! X

Linda, I hate to hear your toe is bothering you again. I hope it's doing okay. Prop those feet girl.:) Levi and Faith are good looking kids...that runs in your family. LD, that working man, seems to always have something to do. Can't wait to see all the decorating. Blessings to all there for a fabulous day. Love you, xoxo, Susie

Have a fabulous week with Faith and Levi! (Sam must be too old for these excursions.) It's going to be a good week. (I hope that your doc knows about the toe.)

You are so good with kids, Linda...you just have an affinity to click with anyone. I think the dress Faith found at Goodwill may be great for a dance. Very pretty. Love your video. Girl, you do not have one line on your face---tell me your beauty secrets!

Now---when I finally get to Texas the first thing I'm going to try is the tacos. Then look you up. And when you get to Chicago, you find me and I'm going to walk you a few blocks away for the best thin crust Chicago pizza you've ever had!!

Smooches,

Jane

Sounds like you've been on that foot too much. mmmm
It does take a load off your shoulders when the kids are old enough to shower and put themselves to bed. LOL Faith and Levi are really cute kids
