Welcome Home, Kitties!

This morning we gathered up our things, loaded up the truck and packed all three kitties in the carrier for the trip home. We drove down to say our goodbyes to Dean and he gave us some of his beautiful yellow squash! That's going to be some good eating!

We stopped at Sonic in Hillsboro for a bite of late lunch and discovered that it's a tight squeeze to get the big white truck in there. I had to get out and make step through some bushes to get to the driver's side so I could pay with Louis Dean's credit card.
We started to go to Whataburger but decided the line was too long and they only had carry out.
I am definitely not as savy as Summer is in ordering take out!
And it's rather sobering when you see how many calories everything has in it!
Since this was our only meal of the day, I guess it wasn't too bad until Louis Dean said to make his a LARGE! I had #9 which was a grilled chicken sandwich and it was really good - especially since they got my order wrong and gave me a CRISPY chicken sandwich instead! SO good!

We had just turned down our street when we spied a garage sale.
Louis Dean said, "We haven't been to one of these in AGES!"
So we stopped. This small kennel caught my eye!
Perfect for the kitties to sleep in at night or whenever we need to keep them corralled.
$5!

AND this bigger, better carrier!
$7!
I paid $29 for the small one they were in!
Plus Louis Dean bought a DVD of Milo and Otis.
The kids are coming next weekend to spend the night with us and this will be a perfect movie for us!

Welcome home, kitties!!!

Look at this precious little guy!

We are having so much fun!!
Ben is absolutely going to love him!

Everything is back to normal here at home.
Louis Dean didn't sleep much last night so as soon as he unloaded and we watched the kittens for awhile, he took a nice hot bath and went to bed.
I put everything up and did all the laundry.
The last load is in the dryer now.
The only thing we forgot was to bring home our potatoes and onions.
I'll have to let Dean and Sherry know about that so they can go up and get them.
I would hate for them to go to waste and the camper gets super hot all closed up!

*Update on Dee*
She sent me a few texts this afternoon and said she is safely in a rehab hospital and her husband is staying there as well.
Taking it one day at a time, she is doing what she needs to do to get better.
I love and admire her so much!

So now I am going to go sit in the living room with a book and read for a few minutes.
I'm thankful we are safely home and I'm thankful all was well when we arrived.
No surprises!

PS......I figured out how to enlarge my photos but is there still no spell check?

Looks like the kitties are going to be cool with their new digs. They are so much company, aren't they. I'm so glad you got two.
Good to hear that Dee and her husband are where they need to be tonight, and good to hear you are in your beautiful home with kittens to snuggle! 💕 What great buys you got for them.

Linda, A good deal at the yard sale. Oh ordering large is something Ted would do. Although lately he has been ordering grilled chicken salad. I have told we are having smaller servings...need to lose a few pounds. Your kittens are going to be fun, hope it all works out. I will keep Dee in my prayers. Take care there, be safe. Blessings to all, xoxo, love you, Susie

I spit out 3 kittens? Then it seems you are getting the one for Ben. You made out good at the garage sale. Glad you are home safe and sound and for the good news about Dee.

the kittens are so precious. will the little black kitten be sad to live alone or does Benjamin have other cats? pets lift the spirits just watching them

Good news about Dee! Will continue to pray for her and her husband. Bitty Kitties are always so cute. My daughter uses a squirt gun to discourage her younger cat Mikey from misbehaving. Enjoy your weekend. The weather is perfect here in Indianapolis. xoxo

Glad you had no surprises waiting for you there when you got home. I can imagine it felt good just to be able to settle in. I've been hungry for a chicken sandwich so got some chicken patties this week when I ordered groceries they won't be as good as yours was, but they will be crispy. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Glad you had a safe trip home and that Dee is improving! I love that top picture of one of the kitties-looks like you may need to paint a kitty picture!

Sweet little Samantha and Tabitha and Ben's cutie too.
You certainly got a good deal at that garage sale.
It seems things have opened up for you in Texas. I am looking forward to that happening here in California ..don't know when that will be though.
I'm glad we can do drive through and curbside pick-up mostly. I try to fly through Walmart and Costco as fast as I can.

Hi Linda :)) Oh the kitties are adorable! So nice to read a happy post. We've been eating a bit too much fast food lately...now that I have the kitchen more or less functional, I'll be cooking again! Take care!!

I'm glad that Dee is doing better!
There's still no spellcheck unfortunately which means I still have to look up words manually on Google. 😂😭
