Quad Wednesday - in Pictures and Few Words!

Can you follow our day in pictures and a few words?
I hope so because I am very tired as I write this journal entry tonight!

While Louis Dean doesn't look all that happy in this pic- the BEST photo of the group I took - he WAS feeling like playing music this morning!

I got up early enough to finish sanding and then staining my end table.
I am liking it a LOT!

The quads arrived and since Granddad had his guitar out - they all got a little music lesson!

While he did music - I did art!!

Hand print suns!!!
I like the poster paint I let Trystan use.

They loved getting into the paint!

Next time I will use poster paint all around.
I never thought it was a REAL paint before!

Then they all cracked some pecans!

AND played with that $2 cash register!

The sandbox is always a good draw.

We grilled cheddar smoked sausages for lunch and added guacamole, chips and hot sauce plus wafer cookies for dessert. Lunch was out on the kitchen deck.
I read Farmer Boy and Ms Piggley Wiggley before we went in for naps!
Good 2 hour naps! 2 to a room! 2 with Granddad and 2 with me!

Tea party followed.......

The kids have progressed so much to sipping from regular tea cups!

A little TV! Ice Age was a hit! They only got to see the first part but we will watch the rest next week.

We ended their day in the front yard!
Pizza, milk, nectarines and frosted animal cookies for supper!

Followed by playing in the sprinkler!!

We did driveway showers and shampoos and even brushed their teeth!

They were all ready for bed when Amber picked them up around 7:30!

It was a GOOD Quad Wednesday!!
Now Louis Dean and I are resting!
I do NOT know how Amber does it!

You really keep those kiddies busy and I mean in such a great, healthy and active way. Bravo. And of course that keeps you going so I can see why you are exhausted at the end of the day. I am going to take my cues from you with Elsie. I pray I'm as GOOD!

The quads are as adorable as ever. I love the hand print suns... too cute. I used to have tea parties with my kids. Oh I miss those days. I enjoyed Ice Age, too.

Have a lovely 4th of July... :)

Art and music and running in the sprinkler, now that is a good day, and those paintings turned out cute.

Oh Linda!
I am so impressed! You and LD are champs! I just sit here and think how long we have been blog friends. I met you before Holland was born. She celebrated her fourth birthday this week. Your home is the perfect blend of fine art and performing art. Brilliant!

This reminds me all over again how amazing you both are! The quads have such happy days with you and I know that Amber appreciates the time she has to renew. You make a big difference for your family. May your energy be renewed ten-fold.

Because I don't get up early and sand and paint furniture!! Extra projects of any kind add on to an already busy day!! They love coming to see Meemaw & Grandad and we are so grateful for Wednesday's!

Linda, When I read about quad wears me out .LOL. Thank goodness they still take nice naps. Those children are going to be very good at painting and playing music too. I wish LD felt can tell he looks tired. Blessings to all, love, Susie
