WHAT a Weekend!!

This has been SUCH an exciting weekend!! Celebrating the births of my youngest daughter's quadruplets on Thursday.....at 12:55 for the first 3 and 12:56 for the last one...to be exact! Family came flying down the Interstate to join the celebration!
On Friday night - after spending the day at the hospital - several of us gathered at our favorite Mexican restaurant!

We had a great time recalling the exciting events of the last two days!

Louis Dean had a BALL singing 'Blue Spanish Eyes' with the mariachi band.
He'll be bringing HIS guitar next time! Just wait and see!!

After a whirlwind of activity (and the pajama party my sister and I had at her hotel!)  -
it was time for people to go back to their normal lives.
Thanks, Deanie, for dropping Louis Dean off at home on YOUR way home!
He has already started work on the camper. We will be needing it soon at the rate the quads are going! ESPECIALLY that 'Little Logan Lee!'

Summer and my daughter in law, Leigh Ann, helped me prep the house for Amber's homecoming and then they, too, were headed home.

Sunday morning came and I could not WAIT to get to the NICU!!

I have to snap a picture of the name first!
(although I am pretty sure I can tell who they are by sight now!)

Kailey Lee was chilling under the sun lamp!

Baby 'A' is Trystan......the Gate Keeper!

Eyes open and taking everything in!
First to be born and a force to be reckoned with!!

Logan Lee......last to be born but an over achiever.....

just like her Mama!!!

I can't believe I was able to 'cradle' her with my hands.
She was the first baby I was allowed to touch.
I will remember this moment forever.

The 'Boy'......

And what a BOY he is!!
I am his grandma but as anyone can plainly see.....
he is a handsome lad!!!

I would like to share Amber's latest update......

"The quads are continuing to do well! Logan still breathing unassisted & getting her tan on under the lights and has increased feeds. Trystan & Kailey both still on CPAPs and down to about 21% oxygen, so close to getting room air we hope! They have also received photo therapy & both have successfully started feeds. We have to say extra prayers for Harrison right now, he still has the chest tube to ...excavate oxygen from outside his lungs and is on an oscillator to help him breathe & he bounces around in the mid to high 20% range, which is much improved. The girls are getting moved to their own room & will be waiting on their brother to join them!! I am feeling better, just completely exhausted, but I go home on Tuesday!"

I think that's a wrap to the week's end and an exciting start on a new week......a BIRTHDAY week!! Amber's birthday is Wednesday and she will get to celebrate BIG TIME!! Who knew last year what a HUGE and life changing event was to happen?

Psalm 139: 14-18

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God!
How vast is the sum of them!

 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand —
when I awake, I am still with you.

Linda,
I look forward to your (and Amber's) posts and updates all day! I will have to say that I get a little teary eyed every time though, they are just so sweet and heartwarming. We said a special prayer for the quads (and Amber and Mike as well) at my church today and several of the ladies have said they're happy to help prepare meals and anything else y'all need (as am I, you know I just need approval!). Nick and I move back into our house in Cy-Fair this week so we'll be about 10-15 minutes from Amber's house. Let me know if any of you need any help with anything! We're here and willing :)

Congratulations! Wow, 4 at a time...everyone can have a baby to hold. :-) They are so precious. I used to volunteer at Cook's NICU and yes, there were some babies that could have no stimualation at all. I loved getting to hold one and rock!
So happy for all of you my friend.

Hopefully, I can be around more and check on you and them too.

As a "Grandma" I became teary eyed at the picture of you cradling Logan, it is such a emotional and joyous moment to hold a Grandbaby for the first time.
Continued prayers for the entire family.
