Tuesday Treasures and Pics From the Ranch!

I love the leisurely pace of senior living!
Louis Dean and I both sleep late - it was after 10:00 when I woke up this morning - he woke half an hour earlier! 3 cups of coffee and over an hour later we met in the den for a bagel and cream cheese while watching the news and then had our Bible reading/devotional time. We are reading 'Liz' a biography of Elizabeth Taylor by C. David Heymann as our out loud book. Louis Dean says he's always been fascinated by her - as what man has not?

It was 4:00 before I ventured out of the house and hit up a couple of thrift stores.
Once again, I unloaded a big bag at Goodwill before going to to find more treasures.

The brand new  large Santa tapestry is by Dona Gelsinger and still had the tags on it.
It has a battery pack so I gather there are lights in it. I love her art and that's where I get some of my Santa paintings.

When I checked out the guy told me he was so glad I was buying these curtains.
There are two of them and are valances with a really sweet chicken themed lining.
They are obviously custom made and he said he has had to hang them back up any number of times because people are curious and want to look at them but aren't sure just exactly what they are for.
I'm not either but that didn't stop me from buying them!

Two panels of red and white tab curtains.
I'm sure I can use them somewhere!

I paid a little over $2 for this really sturdy table.
It's in my sewing room with a pretty cloth and a nice lamp on it!

Super comfy sandals!
Brand new.

This is where I put the new picture.
It was originally from Hobby Lobby and I have seen and admired it there before.
So happy to find it at Goodwill for a fraction of the price.

I love the new look in the dining room.
Will be tweaking it when we get back from the ranch.

Speaking of the ranch.......Dean posted these photos on Facebook today.
They have two new pups born in December.
They are adorable and I can't wait to meet them!
Normally he has pit bulls but these are not!
They will help protect the goats.

AND they have new baby goats and a new mama goat!

These are the Polish chicks Sherry bought last month on our way to the bee meeting.
They have sure grown.
We will be heading down to the ranch tomorrow night.
Dean and Sherry will be leaving Thursday morning and we need to get our instructions as to how to care for all these new critters!
I am so excited!!!

I sure have missed this place and can't wait to get back down there!!!

I think my Tuesday favorite is the beautiful sandals. Both the color and design. The chicks sure are fancy!

Nice treasures! I know you enjoy shopping at Goodwill, and so have I!
I hope we'll be hearing about those cute, new critters! What a blast.
Oh, to say that Ed has always been fascinated with Elizabeth Taylor would a bit of an understatement! ;)

I thought you were already at the ranch! 🙂 Yes, an excellent haul...my favorite is the sturdy yellow table, which at my place would need no covering. I’ll be interested to see what happens with the curtains....I know you can make them work. The puppies are darling and I hope that they do a great job of protecting the critters. May this morning be just as relaxed as the one before it. I am up again before six to find a fresh layer of snow...oh joy unspeakable. Happy trails!

You picked up some deals this week Linda. Those curtains are so pretty. And those BOC flip flops are quite the bargain. Have fun at the Ranch!! Marvin went over to Grimmwood overnight just to check on the Bees. We get out new hive in two weeks.

You always find the best treasures! I especially love the curtains. Lots new to take care of oat at the ranch and I know you are excited to get there to see them. The goats everywhere even on the truck, made me laugh. Hope those country days brings some good weather for you to enjoy!

You should get an award for recycling:) I too love to go to the goodwill and often times find something special. I don't buy things for my house because I have it decorated as I want and leave it that way but I do buy clothes and cookbooks and occasionally a purse:) Happy for you to go to the ranch.

Loved seeing all your treasures,Linda, I haven't been thrifting in a while, I am now motivated to get going. ~smile~ We too have become late sleepers since semi retiring, as one who was always an early riser i am baffled at why I am sleeping so late, but am so enjoying it. I am also going to bed earlier too! lol.

Enjoy meeting the new farm critters, we had a new lamb born last night, and that is always so great.
Blessings,
Sue

I love your Born sandals - I have lots of different Born shoes and they are all super comfortable.

I'm having difficulty with blogger right now - no comments are going to my email so I'm responding here.

Trader Joe's can put a dent in my wallet quickly. I tend to go overboard when I'm buying flowers. Right now I have the pretties pink hydrangea plant sitting on the dining room table.

I call it "thrifting" and it's one of my absolute favorite pass times. Hubby comes along with me and never complains when I buy something.... but I can see it in his eyes..... that "where are we going to put it" look. :-D You got some wonderful treasures, Linda. I so look forward to hearing about what you find each time. Safe travels to the ranch.... another thing I also LOVE hearing about. Love, Andrea xoxo

Linda, Looks like you are doing well....taking things into G.W. and getting new for home. Nice to find new things at their price that one can use. Yikes those goats. LOL They love "king of the hill" games. The curly haired pups looked a bit like goats too. Blessings, xoxo, Love you guys, Susie
