Alaskan Cruise Days #5 and 6! Glacier Bay and Ketchikan!

We are having a great time! Wednesday we toured Glacier Bay from the comfort of the ship and the Cumby's balcony!

This photo reminds me of the opening for a movie!

So beautiful and peaceful.

I still can hardly believe that we are HERE!!!

Thanks to the Cumbys for sharing their balcony with us.

It was an amazing and for us - a one in a lifetime experience!

Louis Dean seems to have gotten his sea legs now.
Not that any of us have had anay seasickness - we haven't.
And every day has been sunny with blue skies and white clouds and fairly warm temps!
59 degrees mostly!

I can't load all my pics here because I am frantically trying to post before port!

Wednesday night was our special dining evening and it was special, indeed!

I had the dessert sampler and it was delicious!!

Before dinner drink in the Plaza.

Louis Dean is once again his charming self!!

The view from our stateroom window when we came in after dinner last night!

I will tell you all about our fun evening in the Princess Theater and how Louis Dean and I got a standing ovation!! It was pretty awesome!

An early morning for us as we were only in Ketchican!

We had a lighthouse and totem pole excursion today!

Probably one of my very favorite ones of our trip!

I will tell you more about it later!

The Alaskan Bush People filmed a couple of their shows right here in this area!

Our super duper Captain Jeff - a third generation from Ketchikan.
He was such a joy and used words in his narrative like - gratitude, grateful, joy, humble.
I know his mother is proud of him!
Born here in Ketchikan, he went to college in Florida and returned after graduating.
He has a twim sister and hi swhole family stilllive here!

The crew were terrific and offered to take pics for us!

Loving this trip with Brenda and  Billy!

Our cool Capyain Jeff docked the boat with a remote control!

Somebody around here is getting new appliances!

That's how they do it here!

Back to the ship!

A short time here but simply wonderful!!!

Okay, guys. I don't have time to edit photos or even do spellcheck!
Hope this posts!
May not be able to post again until Saturday night from Portland.
Love and prayers for all my friends and family affected by Florence!

Linda,
Thanks for sharing all your beautiful pics! The scenery is just stunning and I especially loved seeing the lighthouse. I really enjoyed seeing Louis Dean at the formal dinner and wondered how you got him out of his signature overalls! ha

Have a safe trip back! I am in central Virginia and we are only going to get some rain and just a little wind but our poor neighbors in NC/SC are really going to get it bad from Hurricane Florence.

Of your first three scenery pictures, I love the third one best, it is stunning!!! I did not know you can dock a ship by remote control! You and Louis Dean look so gorgeous all dressed up!! You are the perfect couple. I like your cap and Louis dean's leather jacket. Cannot believe it is that warm there!
