Thursday Things!

I have turned the corner and am finally feeling better!
At 8:45 this morning I was out of the house and did not return home until 4:00 this afternoon.
Pretty good after being at home and in my nightgown for two and a half days.
Dr. Joe and his awesome assistant made some dental adjustments this morning for me and I was able to tell them precisely where I was hurting.....and it was in several places both top and bottom.
I ran a few errands and then drove on over to Rowlett to pick up Summer.

She's decorated the front yard so cute!

We all surprised Rayne at the school's Thanksgiving Lunch!
Mummers, Casey (Rayne's dad) and me, Bella!
We were all total surprises for her. She saw Mummers first and was so excited!
Then she saw me and got MORE excited!
But when she saw her dad - she was WILD with excitement and ran to him throwing her arms up as he reached down to scoop her into his and swing her around!
It was just like a Hallmark commercial!

Mummers had packed a lunch box for Rayne as she really doesn't like cafeteria food.
I was personally looking forward to it since I saw turkey and dressing, green beans and mashed potatoes. I figured I could eat some of that even with my sore mouth.
Casey passed since he doesn't do cafeteria either and when we saw the the kids in the first group take their trays to the trash and dump them out - even I changed my mind!
One little boy had stuck his fork into the mound of mashed potatoes which was coated with some gravy. As he turned his tray upside down to dump it out - the congealed mass would not budge!
He wasn't the only one that had a hard time dumping their food.

The lunch period was short but there were still a few minutes to visit with friends.

The many faces of Rayne!!

I ran by Quadville on my way home this afternoon.
Logan was running a fever this morning and missed school.
I arrived just in time to ride with Amber and Logan to pick up the other three.
I'm happy to say Logan was feeling better after taking a 5 hour nap!
We think she was just exhausted.
That happens to kids just like it does grown ups.

Louis Dean was left home alone and did very well.
As soon as I got back, he kicked it in gear and started loading up the truck for our November visit to the ranch!

I changed out the sheets to soft flannel to celebrate it not being a 'sick bed' any more.
The weather has been so cool today and it finally FEELS like Fall!

In the morning we drive to Fort Worth to spend the day and night.
It's been awhile since I've seen Mother and I want to visit with Deanie as well.
Then tomorrow night, Nita, Mike, Louis Dean and I are all going to Billy Bob's to see Willie Nelson!!!! It is to celebrate Louis Dean's 81st birthday (which is November 16th!) as well as Nita's 64th birthday - which was Sunday.

I have absolutely NO real western clothes and I can no longer the one pair of cool boots I have.
Louis Dean is wearing his brown overalls and cowboy boots plus a western shirt.
This is the best I can come up with and I'm sure it will be just fine!

I've never been to Billy Bob's before but I know
it's going to be so much FUN!!!

Glad you were able to get to the dentist for the adjustment you needed. Nothing gets me down more than a hurting mouth. I love all the pictures of Rayne. She has such an expressive face. Have fun at the concert and a good time at the ranch.

Having a sore mouth is a wonderful excuse to eat some jelly (do you call it jello?) I prescribe some lemon jelly for you! Cheers

I've seen Willie Nelson, live, a couple of times...and he never ceases to entertain me =with music, not any of that hanky panky going on these day....rofl=

That surprise showing up for the lunch looks terrific. Loads of giggles and fun.
