Tuesday Traditions are BACK!!! Plus Prayer Requests......

We are BACK!!!!
Back to our Traditional Tuesday!!

We headed to an EARLY movie today at the Starplex!!

Amber met up with us and we all saw Jurassic World!
It was a pretty intense movie but really good!
We were a little jittery by the time it was over!
Next week we're hoping a romantic comedy is showing!!

Goodwilling in the afternoon!!!!
I found a lot of Christmas 'debris!'

I made a pretty good haul!
Louis Dean was just saying he wanted a little toaster oven and I found one practically brand new - a Black and Decker - for just $7.50!

Meet my new Santa!!! His hand is broken but perhaps I can refashion it some way! Perhaps he can hold something in that hand!

A set of six Michal Sparks hand painted dinner plates! $0.75 each!

This is my Christmas storage building - also known as the Christmas house!

It is packed!!! This is the first year to store Christmas here and I am going to love being able to take out all my decorations all by myself!!!
Louis Dean is pretty excited about that, too!

Tuesday night has meant art class for the last 38 years!
We started our last project for this year!

I painted a large one and a smaller one.

All based in and ready to finish next week!

A good night! We all accomplished our goal!

I'm in a bit of a hurry tonight!
I have my bag packed and I am about to jump in the car and drive over to Fort Worth to spend the night with my sister, Nita!

Our brother, Lonnie, is having both knees replaced in the morning and we sisters want to be there with him. He's our only brother and baby brother at that!!

I also have an additional prayer request, please.
My sweet cousin's super sweet granddaughter is in need of prayer.
Danna is the same age as my Amber and her little son is one day older than the quads.

DANNA'S FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

Danna saw the doctor this morning for scan results from yesterday. The chemo combination she has been on the last few weeks is not working. There is slight growth in two spots. There are no additional "standard" or commonly recognized chemo combinations available for this type of cancer. So we are now looking at available clinical trials.

The first step is to have another liver biopsy done to see if the genetic mutation of the cancer has changed. The National Institute of Health has a "Match Program" that will let the doctors know what type of drug is best for her specific genetic mutation.

Any clinical trial treatment will need to be performed at MD Anderson, which means more trips to Houston, Houston trips are very stressful for Danna, being away from home and away from Ricky. It is also difficult for all of us to accept there are no other standard treatment options readily available.

While we know and have faith that nothing is too big or too difficult for our God, it is still very hard for her to face this battle day after day. Please continue to pray for strength and peace for Danna. Pray for wisdom for her to make decisions and pray that she will feel God's presence with her each and every day.

As soon as we know her next course of treatment we will update everyone again.

You can read in more detail about the kind of cancer Danna is fighting HERE if you feel led.
Any and every prayer is much appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

You pack more in one day than some of us do in a week, and you do it well !
Yes we need to keep Danna and her family in our prayers. Looking forward to seeing you shortly. Your room is ready, bed turned down, fan going. We can have an adult beverage as Leah would say and then we can say sweet dreams, see ya in the morning. By the way, your wall looks great !

I prayed for healing for Danna..... A Prayer Against Disease

Lord, Your scripture says that you heal all diseases and whoever believes in You will not perish but have an everlasting life. Strengthen Danna, Lord, in this time of illness. Sustain Danna as she battles with this disease. When You were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.

You healed those who had diseases. You died and rose for our sins and that we may have eternal life, Lord. I believe in my heart that You are here with us today and that with Your most holy power will remove all sicknesses and evils that roam the earth. Let it be done in Your glory, Lord.
Your word is alive & active !!!!
I believe by your wounds we are HEALED! Isaiah 53:5 & 1Peter 2:24
I pray that healing power of the Holy Spirit rest on Danna !
Thank you God for your Grace & Mercy !!!

We praise and glorify Your name,In Jesus Name, Amen.

Linda, I will pray for Danna and all of you. Hope Lonnie does well. he'll need someone waiting on him for sure. We know we are much stronger once we are into things like health issues...but a young mother has more fear for her child than herself....so I will keep Danna and her son in my prayers. My our Lord watch over all. Love you, Susie

Well lets see....first, you sure had an action packed Tuesday! lol And thirty eight years teaching art? wow! Soo nice. And then a DOUBLE knee surgery? Can't tell you how many times I have asked the docs to do that for me and no one will consider it. I will be anxious to hear how your brother does. And then I will definitely add Danna to my prayer list. My heart just goes out to all of them. How difficult this must be in soo many areas. Praying for wisdom for the docs as they search for new treatments, and peace for the family as they put this in His hands.

I the painting this week! And I will pray for that sweet young mother. It is hard to understand why things happen the way they do but our God is still in the miracle working business. Hope your brother is up and around soon...with all his sisters there he will have lots of encouragement.

You're an amazing woman, Linda..with such busy life! Your jaunts out to fill your days with friends and family, your 38 years of giving painting lessons, your amazing 'quadlets', you and LD just 'keep-a-goin'--everywhere together. Starting the mornings, and finishing up your evenings with your devotionals---and so much more. It gives me a boost just reading. about it! I owe you an e-mail and I'll get it off to you soon.:)
Looking forward to more of your escapades, and I'm praying for Danna!

Yes, I will pray for Danna. So many thoughts swirl I am sure, yet God can do everything and He has our very best interests at heart. We can trust Him.

Love the Santas sipping cocoa or coffee, something stronger? Great perspective! I love your Christmas House and I do believe it needs a sign and some decking out! Oh the quads are going to LOVE Christmas this year. I hope that they will be taught some Christmas songs. (My grands are clueless about Christmas music, sacred and secular.)

What a fun movie to see...and then all the great finds at the thrift store.
We have a large storage closet in this Summer House and it is housing all our C'mas decos...no more climbing stairs to the attic and lugging in down..so so nice. We switched our 7' tree for a 4' one a few years ago and it is so much easier for us.....at 78 and 81, we need all the EASY we can get.
So sorry she is fighting cancer....prayers
