Giving a cat a bath certainly qualifies as a 'Labor of Love!'
Especially if that cat is my GRAND cat!
That was the 'Labor' in our Labor Day this year.
Let me tell you this is ONE heavy cat!!
WET - she is even heavier!!
Just after this picture was taken I carried her into the bathroom where she began to PEE! Fortunately I was headed for the tub!
Here she is all clean and fluffy!!
Her name is Snowball and she is diabetic requiring two shots of insulin a day.
I have learned to give her the injections in the scruff of her neck.
Easy peasy! Snowball still has her teeth!
July is 20 years old and has NO teeth!
Bless her heart! She is a true elderly cat with arthritis, hearing problems and a thyroid condition requiring medication twice a day.
Monday was not all work by any means! It was fun like a party at the Bell home.
It was a good opportunity for a photo shoot!
That's Harrison surrounded by Kailey, Logan and Trystan.
Aren't they cute in their whale shirts?
Kailey found her belly button!!
Since babies - even these preemie quads born at 29 weeks 5 days and are now 'age adjusted' two weeks old - well, they don't stay little nearly long enough!
My son in law did some pretty awesome grilling and there was an abundance of FOOD!
Food, friends, family, music, fun!
Louis Dean did his fair share of baby tending.
On this rare occasion there were more PEOPLE than BABIES!
Mike's mom has been in town.......
.......and the ONE honored guest - who did a TON of baby duties and beyond - was Amber's good friend and former college room mate, Lisa!
While Amber and Mike would have LOVED a whole house full of friends - the babies are still so young and susceptible to germs - entertaining on a larger scale will have to wait. For now anyone care taking or even holding a baby must have a DPaT vaccine as well as a flu shot. LD and I got our flu shot the other day while we were at Wal Mart.
You can't be too careful! By Easter the quads should be on firmer ground and can be introduced to more people!
It is very exciting to be celebrating holidays with the quads even though they have no clue as to what is going on!! I heard there was already talk about first birthday party plans! SO happy the hospital and NICU days are over!
There's never a dull moment around here!! From bathing cats to feeding babies to letting the dogs come in and say hello to everyone - something is always going on!
Oops, it almost time for another feeding!

Hi, My name is Dee. I just came from A little Fur In the Paints blog and when I saw Snowball and all the adorable baby's I knew your blog was one I would like to visit again.:)
Wow that is a big cat....those babies are adorable
So glad that you had a nice Labor Day. That food looked delicious! I'm sure it was nice to have extra hands helping out this weekend too.
Great pictures Linda! Looks like you don't have a dull moment in your life -- babies, cats, dogs. That food looked really good. Glad you had a good day.
Lovely post, Hon...
Oh my, I never tried to wash our kitties. It must be a very difficult happening. -gigggles-
So happy the Quads are into "really counting days" now. I know, that's not how one says it. But I'm sure you'll understand what I mean. (Without my going back and looking up, the correct term. :-))
Gentle hugs,
Auntie
Love that you take such wonderful photos and someone is taking great photos of you with the babes, too. They are beyond adorable, but then you know that.
What a brave gal to bathe a cat! I would not attempt to bathe mine. I'd be shredded. =D
Sounds liket the Grands are keeping you all busy, even the fur babies!!
Glad you had such a wonderful Labor Day. Truly, any day sorrounded by those precious quads must be a good one.
amazing so amazing. i love the family shot and the quad squad is soooo adorable.... 4 blessings you have and such cute ones. not sure the cat bath qualifies as a blessing
You continue to amaze me! All the pics are good, but the picture of you and your daughter with the quads is really good. Love the final shot of you with the baby. So beautiful.
Linda, you look so pretty holding the baby. I would love to hold those little cutie pies. Funny cat story. Smiles, Susie
O, Linda..this photo of you with the baby gazing at you is just priceless...it brought tears to my eyes. It should be enlarged, framed and kept forever and ever, Amen !!
xoxo
Love all the pictures especially the one of you holding a little Bell.
I have the flu and pneumonia shots but not the other so I guess for now I'll have to wait to visit. David has never taken the flu or pneumonia shots.
I can't get over how fast they're putting on the weight and growing.
Hugs
