Saturday Treats and Treasures!

Today was BEAUTIFUL! Blue skies and warmer temps made it a perfect day to get out and about!
A sister blogger friend - Deb from Ladybug From Texas - got a group of her friends together and I was fortunate enough to be included!

We all met up at Big State Drug Store for lunch! It has an old fashioned soda fountain and we took up every stool at the counter!

Can you say 'YUM?'

From there we did a walking tour of Downtown Irving on the square.
There are lots of cute quaint shops here!

First one and I found a new hat! I plopped it on my head and it stayed there all day!

I LOVE this pink and denim purse!!

And just LOOK at this window dressing!!

We were served chocolate strawberries as we shopped!

Oh, MY!!! They were delicious!!

Eye candy was everywhere!!

I may have to go back for a pair of these sunglasses!

I love tiny lights!! I'm replacing a few of my electric candles with these shorter versions.
Someday I will count just how many of these 'candles' I have - over a dozen I'm certain!

It was lovely to get out and enjoy myself for a few hours after being pretty much in bed the last two weeks.
I'm happy to say I think that last shot of Rocephin has turned the tide on this monster kidney infection!

One of the shop windows......

Thanks, Debbie, for SUCH a nice afternoon and for sharing your great group of friends with me!

I came home and went right to bed for a good little nap.
Then Louis Dean and I sat by the den fireplace visiting for awhile.

When the fire died down inside we went OUTSIDE and built another one using the branches from our pruned rose bushes. It's been a great Saturday and I am still basking in the glow of it all!!

I like that stubby candle...haven't seen them yet. So glad that you are feeling well enough to get out with some bloggers and have some fun. (Lined up at the counter does not sound conducive for conversation. Ha! )

What a fun day. An old fashioned soda fountain. Haven't sat at one of those for years...
The blog friends and stores were a treat to my eyes, and would have loved to join you ladies.
Yes, the hat is you, and I can see you in one of those sunglasses.
To com home to a nap and warm fire. I'd say that was a pretty perfect day. So glad you are up and around.

Good for you! So glad you felt like getting out & about. The wind is really wreaking havoc with my allergies but thank goodness, today was calmer.

I'm so glad that you're finally feeling better. You've been sick for too long! I just loved your cream colored sweater you were wearing in your photos. Looked like you had a fun day. There's nothing more fun than good food, good friends and shopping!

How cute is that hat? I'm glad you were feeling well enough to go out shopping with your friends. Hopefully your sickness is now just a memory.
