AT the Ranch!!

I thought we would wake up early this morning - but we didn't.
We both slept past 10:00! Nothing wrong with a good long sleep!
We still managed to leave by 1:00 and decided to have a really late breakfast at Joe's.

I'm not saying that only old people go to Joe's, but I do think we senior citizens make up the majority of their customers.

My Super Cute Husband!!

We were already having fun and feeling relaxed and we hadn't even left Irving yet!

I'm always happy when we get to go to the ranch!
We drove straight through stopping only once at a Rest Area.
First stop - HEB in Bellmead where Louis Dean dropped me off while he headed over to Home Depot. We got our chores done in half the time that way and it was a Win! WIN!! for me because I dearly love waltzing up and down the isles of HEB!

We came the 'back way' and arrived in Mart just as the sun was setting.

Perfect timing!

This country road leads to the ranch!

We are here! Unloaded and unpacked with lights on and candles lit!
We've already had a fire in the fire pit and sat around it with a glass of wine.
It's chilly but not cold as I sit out here in the 'new room' tonight writing my journal.

This is a partly finished room but there are still openings to close up.
Tonight the low is only 55 so we are good.
Tomorrow the high is in the 60's and low is 28.

Louis Dean has his work cut out for him!!

But for now we are sitting here basking in the glow of my Christmas lights which are still strung up.
We will sip our wine and enjoy the simple life we live when we are down here at the ranch.
Dean teaches Karate class on Wednesdays so we passed each other as we were coming in.
They will be here soon and we are looking forward to a little visit.

I do so love this Country Life!!

Linda, Yes your country boy ,LD is as cute as can be. Glad you got some good rest before starting out on the trip to the ranch. it's always nice to see the picture from there. Once the new room is finished it will be extra nice...even though it looks so inviting right now. Please be safe while there and don't over do. Blessings to all, love you, xoxo, Susie
