Recovery Mode.....

Saturday the house was 'Party Pretty!'

We spent Sunday morning in 'Recovery Mode!'
We sat around in the den eating pizza and fried chicken reliving great party moments before settling down to watch a service from Fellowship Church on TV.

Then the WORK began!! All the 'unpackaging' and laundry and sorting and organizing!

Amber did a good job of staying off her feet.

Snowball allowed us to play dress up with her!
This is a little dance tutu wrapped around her neck and matching headband with a little rosebud. She stayed 'dressed' and on Amber's lap for as long as we all wanted to play!

While we played with Snowball - Louis Dean brushed July!
He brushed and brushed and brushed and brushed!!
I think we like spoiling these cats!

Summer left early this morning to go back to Dallas.
Amber thought we should get out of the house for a little while so we lunched at La Madeleine! One of my favorite places!
Strawberries Romanoff, French onion soup and a Field Salad......WITH Mango iced tea and - of COURSE! - French bread, jams and butter!!
This seems to be a real 'ladies' place......poor Louis Dean would come out about as hungry as he went in. So we left him to visit Home Depot and lunch on his own. He chose Arby's. I am certain MY lunch was much healthier than HIS!

Speaking of healthy diets! Even the dogs like nutritional treats!
Guess what Shiner, Lucy, Reese and Jersey are wanting?
Bananas! They all LOVE bananas!

I used a little time this afternoon to catch up on my journal......and play my Scrabble and Words With Friends games on Facebook.

Here's how I spied Louis Dean using HIS free time!
Bless his heart! I shoo him out of one room so I can clean and then shoo him out of another one so I can do something in there! We moved the guest bed OUT of the nursery and INTO the office. Although he and I slept in the nursery last night on a queen size air mattress. So bottom line, I have moved his 'stuff' from one room to another and back and forth and he doesn't know WHERE to find anything! That's why he took some of his things to the truck and hung out there for a bit! He does LOVE that big white truck!

Now dinner is ready - a yummy casserole Mike's mom sent home with them last week. It has been waiting in the freezer for such a night as this! A fresh salad and some garlic bread will finish out the meal. It smells so GOOD in here. And wouldn't you know?
I can hear Louis Dean playing his penny whistle while taking a bath!

I think we will go ahead and eat while it's HOT!

PS......Good news about Amber's friend, Ashley. Her contractions have stopped and she is expected to go another couple of weeks before delivering. That would make her past the magic 24 week milestone! Thank you for each and every prayer.......both for her and for Amber. Amber goes in for the anatomy scan tomorrow. This will be both exciting and scary as it will show each individual baby with all the detail available at this time. One GOOD thing - we will finally know how many boys and girls are in there! We KNOW one boy and one girl...........so far! Amber would love THREE boys and ONE girl. We shall see!

LOVE that pic of LD, making good use of the back of his truck. Poor man! He can't keep up with where you are moving his things. -gigggles-

So glad that Amber is getting so much help around the house so she can stay off her feet. She'll have plenty of time to be up and around after the babies are born. It's exciting to hear about the genders that she's carrying! She's got her whole little family in her belly! Your daughter is very blessed to have such a loving and caring family around her.
