A Quiet Day.....

It's been a quiet day around here and I have enjoyed every minute of it!
While Amber and Mike went to their regular doctor's appointment - where she was given another week's reprieve from the hospital - I spent some of the morning outside with their three dogs!

This is Shiner - the big hunting dog who happens to be a vegetarian due to some allergies! His favorite treat is a banana - which I gave him this morning!

This pretty girl is Jersey. She likes bananas because Shiner does!

And this is Reese - the mutt stray who found a spot in Amber's heart and the Bell Household! She kept thanking me for coming out to play with them!
She is SO much fun!!

I took this pic through the screen window so it is a bit blurry.
Old Shiner allows Reese to do pretty much what she wants!
This includes Reese using him for a chair!
She gives the labs a run for their money and keeps life interesting around here!

I went on errands this afternoon while Amber napped. The doctor recommended she drink a couple of bottles of Ensure every day. Reminds me of her athletic training days when - as a synchronized swimmer - she would have to build her body up for competitions. I guess things have come full circle as she builds her body up to grow these four babies! When I returned we did one of the things we both love to do.......watched a movie. 'Deja Vu' with Denzel Washington. The 'bad' guy was played by the 'good' guy now starring in 'Person of Interest.' I love that show!

Since I am not one to have idle hands - I whacked out a pretty good stack of denim squares as I watched the movie.

The pic is a little blurry but this is the latest crib quilt I am working on.
I sewed the white and red sections this evening and hope to finish the blue part tomorrow. The baby shower is Saturday so I am not holding out any hope that I get this made in time but I WILL get it in the mail soon. There are SO many babies arriving these days!!!

Tomorrow will be my last day and night here for this stay. It has gone by quickly.
I plan to take Amber in for a massage in the morning and then Chili's for lunch.
We LOVE their chips and salsa AND she picked up a free coupon on Facebook today for just that. Last time we went she and I finished off TWO bowls of the chips!
This will be a good way to end our week.

Louis Dean says Lucy is a bit depressed. He thinks she is missing me.
I will be home before they know it!!

So happy for all that everything is proceeding as it should. Ensure is a good idea, energy, nutrients and something cold to sip. Good thoughts for all of you.

Okay so I must admit I'm not a fan of animals but the dog using the other for a chair actually melted my cold animal heart :)

I had Chilli's yesterday. Your right, they have the yummiest chips & salsa. Oh and a massage sounds like heaven. Can you remind me to put that on my pregnancy to do list!!!!!

Glad Amber is doing well and you all have enjoyed your visit. Praying for your safe travels back home :)

Have a safe trip, back home.

Guess it's time to go. When your own pets are getting depressed. Not to mention your hubby......... ,-)
