Yesterday I took the day off and spent it in Fort Worth visiting family. I first went to my sister's house (Deanie) bearing Diet Cokes from Sonic. It has been SO long since we had even seen each other save for the Quad Party here on March 3rd - and that doesn't really count since there were so many people and we couldn't TALK! She is a Grandmother like few others I have ever met! She is truly the GRAND in the word! In 1998 she bought a pack and play to have at her house for all the little babies that have come along since then. Yesterday she handed off the
Next I picked up my mother at the beauty shop and we had lunch at Chili's. She LOVES their loaded baked potato soup! I had soup and salad which is exactly what I ordered LAST Friday when Amber and I ate out. We hit up Tuesday morning on a Friday afternoon and made out with some good buys.
THIS is what I brought home with me - gifted by another sister, Nita!
(She is the one with the beautiful Watt Pottery collection!)
I had never had Pork Rinds with Picante Sauce before!
It is DELICIOUS!!! Deanie says cream cheese mixed with the picante sauce is good, too!
I stopped to visit with the three oldest grandchildren on my way home.
The water balloons and pump I bought for them was a huge success!
We played games and had contests......
......and Faith ALWAYS grabs my camera and shoots away!
She may be a famous photographer some day!
I came home to find this lovely care package waiting for me!
It is from one of my favorite in all the world blogger friends!
She is a character and Louis Dean loves her as much as I do!
So I went to bed encouraged by all the acts of kindness yesterday!
And I needed them to reflect on TODAY as I once again ventured out to the camper - cleaning supplies in hand!
While I cleaned the kitchen area Louis Dean started taking up the carpet.
It was REALLY nasty!!!
Fortunately there is vinyl underneath......although we will most likely put new flooring over it. Maybe.
This section of flooring must be replaced. It is in front of the fridge.
I love the expression on Louis Dean's face as he shows me some other damaged places! Thankfully I have never seen anything he cannot fix!
(This is part of the slide out extra room - where the table and benches go.)
We only spent a couple of hours out there this time. He has to think about the next moves and all that will entail. He doesn't want to start anything until he has a whole week to work on it.
SO.....we retired to the BACK yard to do a little damage control.
This is his work bench. Yes. It IS under there somewhere!
I think we have done our due today. It's time to clean up and head to church.
Tomorrow is another day and we still have the yard to do!
Thank goodness we will be gone next week and can rest up!

Linda do listen to you body to make sure you stay well. Same for LD. You two have a big job ahead so husband some of your energy. Loved your post today.
And I echo what Joy said, above.... LIsten to your body, and stay well.
Me'thinks you have a bit more (a LOT more) "I-can-do-anything-ness", than is a good idea. ,-) A bit more resting, between the all the work, would be a good idea.
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu????
Maybe????????
Perhaps?????????
:-)
Hugs,

whom you *wear out,* just reading your blog!
What a lot you are doing! The taking time to visit with family sounds like a great way to stay sane. The camper is going to turn out so well and soon it will be a little haven for the two of you.
Stress relief in a priority mail envelope! <3
Sounds like you had a busy day... sress sometime shows up in many ways.. so take a mintue ..maybe more and relax..don't forget smell the roses. Warm hugs. Elaine
oh, what a job, i sure know all about biteing off more then you can chew!! but the reward will be oh so sweet!!
those are some really cute grandkids!!
I just can't wait to see the "after" photos of the camper. I know it will all be worth it - when it's done!! LOL I know these are busy days with a bit of worry always on the back burner. Take care...So glad you had some visits with your family to "recharge your jets". ;-)
Sounds like that camper project is a huge one. Make sure to take care of yourself & do only what you can do! It will all fall into place.
Glad you got in some family visiting time. It's good to be able to step away from a big project and enjoy the little things that are most important!
Hope you and LD have a wonderful Sunday :)
You have your work cut out for you with the camper but it is going to be well worth it. And I'm glad you had family time to break up the work, you deserve that.
Happy Sunday!
XO,
Jane
Water balloons, lunches, camera shoots...all so much fun. Oh yes, y'know I thought I was the only one that likes cream cheese and salsa as a dip. And Pork Rinds...I've not had those in ages...eons, in fact.
And that work bench...pfffft....forget about it. Don't work too long and hard on the clean-up job....the family fun and acts of kindness will go farther.
I agree with all the other comments. Your job is so huge that you need to take time and just relax once in awhile. None of us are 18 anymore. Well, I'm not anyway. You have more energy than anyone I know. Things will get done. (I keep saying that about cleaning up my house!)
Your grandkids are so cute. Water balloons sound like a lot of fun.
Linda, Pick your site up at "Primative Plot" looks as if you and your husband will be busy much longer...yikes, on all the floor damage. But hey, the fun you will have camping. Those g.kids will want to come along. Smiles to all of you, Susie(She Junks)
ahhh, it looks and sounds like you had a wonderful time with family. Your grands are so cute, LD is handsome and your big white shirt is adorable...gonna go get me one tomorrow to wear with my jeans. :))
I won't look as cute as you but I can playlike....:))
The floor....oh, my...well, ya'll will get it fixed...I know he can do anything.:)
