If you're happy and you know it say AMEN!!

I have been basking in the glow of happiness all day long! On the drive home from Houston I am recounting my blessings and praising God for his awesome goodness and mercy. I am at a place in my life where I can truly say I am happy and I KNOW it!

I have the health and energy to do the things I want to do. I don't have to work at a job in order to ensure the bills are paid. I am married to a wonderful man and we have such a good time simply being together. All my children are well and happy and prosperous. I have good relationships with my kids, my husband, my family, my friends. There is nothing in life I want that I do not have. I am truly blessed beyond my wildest dreams!

We left Houston this morning leaving Amber looking rested and well. LD and I decided to make a vacation day out of the trip home.

We stopped at a couple of Goodwill's......

......found a treasure......

 or two......
(tiny little salt and pepper shakers for $0.89!)

....enjoyed a snack of Cheesy Bacon Potato Wedges.....
(from Jack in the Box)

......waved at the Sam Houston statue......

and drove on home listening to Willy Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Jessie Colter and snapping pictures.

I have my very own personal driver leaving me free to play Scrabble, write a blog post and read my book!

Looking forward to spending some time in my cozy nest of a house!
It is cold and raining as we trek our way north.

I can see us sitting in front of our fireplace tonight with a glass of wine.

Yes, life is good!
I am happy. And I KNOW it!

AMEN!

I love those drives, where you're relaxed and just enjoying the trip. Glad you don't get car sick like I did, that would really limit your ride-along activities. ;)

Thanks again SO MUCH for all you and LD did for us this past week. Mike and I are so incredibly grateful, not only for y'alls help, but just to have you both be a part of all this. It was weird coming home to an empty, quiet house... so know we treasure the days you are here!!

Amen! Amen! Rain in Texas is usually a very good thing. Hope that's the case here. Cute pillow. I think you'll live up to its message. ;>

You deserve sitting in front of a fire, with a glass of wine! You have been a *Busy Bee.*

Please get lots of rest, while you can. Before it's time to hit-the-road back again. :-)

You are a blessed woman indeed! I love that you took the time to count your blessings...some people go through life just wishing for things they don't have. What a lonely existence. You made me smile!

Jane

Your happiness and positive outlook come out in every post, Linda, and I'm sure that's what has me hooked on your blog. I always feel uplifted when I come away from reading one of our posts.

I love your adorable attitude, Linda....bet that man of yours loves you to pieces. :))

Willie, Waylon and Jesse....gosh, I miss Waylon and wonder what Jesse is doing without him.? She may be married again..I don't know.
Willie was here last week but we didn't go see him. We've seen him several times.
He sure is getting old...around 80, I think.
