Last Fire of the Season!

Last night was a chilly evening in Texas - so Louis Dean and I celebrated with one last fireplace of the season. The sweetest fires are the first and last!

I made good time getting home yesterday.
Cool, cloudy and occasional rain.

Coffee weather!
This was my first cup of coffee since last Sunday morning.

By the time I got home the rain was gone and the sky was beautiful!

Louis Dean surprised me!
There was very little 'Damage Control' needed.......
he had kept the house so nice and picked up. Not even one 'trail' of activity!
The kitchen was clean! He even washed the sheets and made the bed!
I tell you - that was so sweet of him! Better than giving me dozens of roses!

He asked me if that bought him a glass of wine and a little driveway sitting.....
it sure DID!!

It's lovely to be home with my sweetheart!
We have a great weekend planned!
Stay at HOME!
Except for going to church tonight.
Perhaps we will even get a hamburger afterwards.

Today marks the first huge milestone in the Amber's Quad Squad Pregnancy!
You can read her latest post  'Quad Squad 24 Weeks.'
We are coming up to the final weeks!
I can't thank everyone enough for the many prayers which have brought her to this point! This morning I watched the conclusion of the National Geographic 'Multiples in the Womb.' The quads featured in the DVD were born at 29 weeks 3 days and each weighed about 2 pounds. I was laughing and crying at the same time. It is a mighty big feeling knowing Amber will be delivering HER quads in a few short weeks.

It's been a wild ride and I would not have missed it for the world!

Was that National Geographic on Mutiples a rented DVD,or was it recently on TV?
Hope your weekend is a relaxed one.

Bernice, I bought it on Ebay but you may be able to get it through the library.

We haven't cut into the pie YET! Planning to have a piece tonight. Can't believe I have had such self control!

Did you cut back on coffee? I need to do that. I'm glad you and LD had are having a quiet weekend...it's a little too warm here for a fire, but I would love to have one!

Saying many prayers for Amber and those little babies!

XO,
Jane

Fresh sheets on the bed beat roses any old day of the week. The Great Dane will do that too - such a treat because he could care less, but knows how much I love fresh sheets. Your LD is a sweetheart, indeed!

Now isn't that just the sweetest man you've married, hats off to LD!

That's such fantastic news regarding Amber and the babies, thank you for the updates Linda.

I totally adore your fireplace, your home is so cozy and comfy, you have that special touch.

Have a wonderful week, take care and enjoy a bit of 'me' time when you get the chance to... I have this funny feeling gramdma is going to be super busy in a few short weeks! :-)

LD is a sweetheart. David's good but I don't know if he'd wash anything. Clean..yep in fact he's probably better at it than me. Glad you and LD were able to have that glass of wine.
