I had my appointment with the eye specialist on Friday afternoon and she said that my macular degeneration demanded I use solar shield sunglasses. My eyesight depends on this.
So buying good sunglasses that will fit over my eyeglasses was on my to-do list for the weekend.
Summer and Rayne arrived shortly after I got home.
I think it has been a year or so since I've seen this beautiful granddaughter of mine!
She is the next thing to being a grown up at 15 years old.
Of course, she is taller than I and probably so much smarter, as well.
The knowledge she has on so many subjects is amazing.
And she still has such a fun attitude on life!
In a post to come I will tell you more about her many interests and activities that she's involved in.
She does love all things British as do I.
Friday evening on the driveway!
A chartcuterie board and wine with a visit from our beloved neighbor, Stephanie, and our friend, Ilene, joined us, as well.
It was a Friday night movie, pizza and popcorn kind of night!
Summer and Rayne picked up thin crust pepperoni pizzas for us and Buffalo hot wings for Louis Dean and we watched a really good movie!
It was a feel good movie with a Tuscan in the Sun vibe!
I think Rayne may have grown an inch or two as she slept so long and so well.
Makes my Bella's heart so happy.
I'm a MiMi to my first three grands - Sam,Faith and Levi.
Then I was Bella to Rayne.
To the Bell grands I am MeeMaw!
I made Saturday brunch - several versions of breakfast quesadillas plus hash browns and salsa, sour cream and jalapenos.
It was an easy going day and everyone did their own thing.
Naps, visiting, and Louis Dean and I did some work in the sewing room.
We moved the stand made from an antique door gifted from my friend to the wall outside of the sewing room next to to a mirrowed window pane very similar to the stand.
It looks great and I will post it after I get the gazebo and area dressed up for fall.
Saturday night we gathered in the den for a movie with an appetizter tray and then the first half of our movie.
It was a really good Saturday night.
Louis Dean joined us in our Friday night movie and the Saturday one, as well!!
It's been awhile since he's watched a full movie with me.
Dinner was a delicious seafood casserole!
The casserole and salad made a nice meal!
This movie was good but had a lot of language challenges.
The plot was interesting.
Summer chose this film but she uses the Angel app that bleeps out the bad words and didn't realize the film had so many!
I don't know how to use that app but I'm going to look into it.
My alarm went off at 8:00 this morning and after three 'snooze' clips....
I got up and made my way to the shower and one hot cup of coffee.
We are so NOT the morning kind of people - but to show up for our grands - we do what we need to do!
We were there for Trystan's first game and I loved watching her in actionl
We took lots of pictures!!
Harrison played after Trystan but stopped by to visit with us a few minutes before going to the locker room to gear up.
During the course of the day, I saw all four of my Bell grands playing on the ice.
All three girls did a practice after the two games were over.
I am so very grateful for my eight beautiful grandchildren and my four amazing children.
God has been so good and gracious to me and mine and I praise Him and thank Him for all His blessings.
Amber and Logan look like movie stars!
I think Logan looks like Mona Lisa.
It's been a great weekend and my heart is full of such joy and happiness!
I am so grateful for this time with friends like Ilene and family - Summer, Rayne, Louis Dean, Amber, Mike, Trystan, Kailey, Harrison and Logan!
What a blessing it is to spend time together!

It is good to see summer & Rayne again! I asked my macular degeneration doctor if I needed to wear sunglasses, and he said it would not make any difference! Now I am confused, maybe he was wrong!
Hope you find a good pair of sunglasses.
Enjoyed seeing all the pictures of everyone.
What a sweet family! I'll look up the La Dolce Villa movie...looks good!
hugs
Donna
Nothing better than time with family and dear friends! Rayne is a beauty!
What a beautiful family and what a wonderful weekend.
Family was just what the doctor ordered.
Hope your sunglasses will be perfect for you.
Can't wait to learn more about Rayne. She is such a lovely young lady.

What a lovely weekend. You have such a loving and beautiful family. Each picture just oozes with love. We spent the weekend in the hospital, but it turned out to be a blessing. I just posted about it. How wonderful it is to know us blog friends love and pray for each other. On the movie issue.... there are so many good movies that are runined by bad and vulgar language. It doesn't make the story better. We are so selective now, and didn't have to be that way. Never heard of the language app.
La Dolce Villa - that movie looks good - thanks. You have a big wonderful family there girl.
Friends and family are the very best! What a wonderful time. Love seeing all the smiles. :)
