Brenda and I attended the Sisterhood event last year and enjoyed it once we walked like a hundred miles in painful pretty shoes because we had to park so far away. Last year was a one day event but this year, the event was divided into two sessions. Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:30 to noon.
Amber and her friend, Medley, attended this year, as well, so it was extra special for me.
Both sessions were excellent!

Friday night! We were all encouraged to dress in pretty spring colors, but, alas, the weather in Texas took a step back into winter this weekend!
Here in north Texas we had stormy cold weather while up in the panhandle, they had a full blown winter snow storm!
Saturday morning with Medley and Amber!
They have been friends since Amber was 7 years old.
Both swam for the Pirouettes of Texas and have remained close friends.
It was storming when we woke up and our power wnr out for a couple of minutes while I was getting dressed but it came right back on. We were a little springier but it was cold!
I love my lacy thing - but it did present a couple of problems by catching on to other ladies buttons or purse hooks. It was crowded! What can I say?
I love Fellowship Church and Pastors Ed and Lisa Young.
Lisa shared her experience at Walmart where she was going to buy large ferns....
for the urinals in the men's bathrooms.
Last year we experienced long lines for the ladies room so this year all bathrooms were switched to being ladies! I'm sure they had one reserved for the men who were there serving. No long lines and so much better!
Lisa said she wanted the men's bathrooms to look pretty!
How clever!!
In other news this weekend.....
Son Jesse and Rachel took a day trip to San Francisco!
How great is that?? Dash off to California for the day in the morning and arrive back home the next morning!
My favorite! Clam chowder in a sourdough bowl!
A row of painted ladies.
I've been to San Francisco several times and it was so much fun to see the photos!
They had perfect weather out there but it was cold when they got home this morning.
Jesse loves a fireplace as much as I do and it made me smile to see thar he's already using the basket of firestarters I gave him!
It's early as I write but I am going to be going to bed early.
I'm going to school tomorrow to work the book fair and I need to be there at noon!
So that makes it an early morning for me since it takes me a couple of hours to get going!

Hi Linda! That Sisterhood event looks great. It looks like our church's upcoming Women's Conference in May. Glad you had a good time. Enjoy the week ahead.
Ahh my hometown! I haven’t been back in 10+ years. But my heart is still there! ❤️
What fun you have been having! And beautiful photos of the church all sparkly!
What a fun event the Sisterhood theme sounds like. We had a Victorian ladies tea at church where we were asked to wear hats, and I wore an appropriate hat. One lady was full on Victorian and she won a little prize.
Sounds like such a lovely event for the ladies. So wonderful you and your friends and daughter could all go together. Love all the photos from Jesse. Looks like they had a wonderful time. And I guess the weather out there has been crazy lately. Spring is having her own fling!! Take care and God bless you all.
Sounds like you had a good time despite the cold weather. What a fun way to dress up the mens room.
I am wondering how LD did with you gone for that long, or did someone stay with him? you all look wonderful and happy and cold. when I saw the first photo I was surprised at how you were dressed warmly until I read the post. we have been in 90's for days now and our backyard is now called Sahara..
super idea using the ferns.
It always takes me a few hours to wake up too. I'm rarely dressed and ready to do anything before noon. Sounds like you have been having fun anyway!
Love the ferns in the urinals...clever and much more pleasant to see when using the men's bathroom. I love the special conferences and the chance to be Sisters.
Crazy weather but it WILL change. Hope you have a great Book Faire Day too. Stay safe and stay warm.
Ahhh, San Francisco, my old stomping grounds. Fun to see all the touristy spots again. Glad Jesse and Rachel had beautiful weather for their time there. That doesn't happen that often.
(((hugs)))

Love your "Big Event". I always say we need private devotions, we need church, and we need a big event once in a while. You got all three. I love seeing you wear things we have been privy to see from your Thrift Store Hauls!! You looked adorable in all of them.
How very special! Amber has a forever friend.
