Back in Big 'D!'

I am happy to report we are HOME! We actually live in Irving but I tell you WHAT!
I LOVE coming in and seeing the Dallas skyline!

Before I left I just HAD to give my grand dogs one last round of banana treats!
I KNOW I am wearing the SAME clothes as I was when posting last week!
We stayed longer and trust me!! I did a bit of laundry to even out our wardrobe!

Last night we left the hospital knowing Amber's contractions were finally under control.
(This is actually a shot from last night's monitor. As her mother - I treasure this pic!!)

We drove straight to our favorite Mexican restaurant to relax and unwind a bit from this eventful week. They make the BEST margaritas there!!

This morning we were packing up and heading for home.
I could not have left with such a peaceful heart had I not known Mike was up there with Amber.
Have I mentioned what an awesome man my SIL is???
A man among men!

We came home to an abundance of honeysuckle and roses!!!

And purple iris my niece, Leah, gave us.
LOVE the sweet, sweet fragrance of a flower garden!

We are unloaded, unpacked, put up, cat needs attended to - and she was SO happy to see us!!! - kennel, dog food and water all back in place.
Bottom line - we are BACK!!!

The last report I received from Amber and Mike was that as long as she was lying DOWN - not sitting UP - the contractions were next to nothing! She is still on the meds and all but this is SUCH good news!!
That means I can put my feet up and relax! She is in good hands and she has her loving husband at her side.
I am in for a good weekend!!

And Louis Dean is excited to spend some time together this evening as we celebrate!
Amber is 23 weeks - 1 day!
And counting.........

May you all out there in Blogland - both friends and family - have a wonderful, relaxing and blessed weekend!

It is hard to be two places at once. You want to be with your daughter of course. And you want to be home too. Bless you heart. You are doing a great job and so is Amber. Relax and enjoy HOME! sandie

So glad that you are safely home. I hope that you both get plenty of rest and relaxing time in over the weekend. Lying down? Oh not easy. Do they provide massages? ☺

Wonderful news, all round!!!

Amber is doing well...

You and LD are home...

You and LD can totally relax, for a while. Which I kind of think, you and LD can use, some of. Relaxation, in your own precious nest. :-)

Hath the violet less brightness For growing near earth?”

Praise be!!! What a glorious and so promising a post. I'm glad you can have some time at home in the Big "D" [well, Irving anyway], and take some time to relax. If I were you two, I'd sit outdoors, enjoy the Texas air and make your OWN margaritas with your feet up and being HOME!!!

Thoughts and prayers continue for ALL!!! I know how stressful it can be for a mom...my daughter had a son born with Down Syndrome and open heart surgery for him at 5 months of age...it can put a lot of edginess in your heart and soul.
