One Project DONE!

I did it!! The last (and BIGGEST!) piece of furniture in our bedroom is now done!

I actually finished it Tuesday night and brought it IN the bedroom yesterday and filled all the drawers up again! I hoped to fill a LARGE bag with things for Goodwill but ended up with a small one! I admit! I am a KEEPER of things!

Could not have done it without my handy dandy husband!

I like the shabby chic look.......

The shabbier the better as far as I am concerned!

After bringing in the chest - and filling it up! - I changed out the bed linens and curtains from all the white lace to the soft ochre and green brocades.

My cozy corner to sit and read....or watch TV!

And NO.......we did not get the Sheetrock repaired so I did not get wall paper hung!
Progress WAS made, though, and I am happy!
We keep tearing the room up and putting it back together again....
over and over! Soon it will all be a DONE DEAL! Right??

Louis Dean works for FOOD!! He bought several bags of gorgeous peppers recently so I decided to cook several in some garlic flavored olive oil along with a good sized onion.

It smelled HEAVENLY!! We both LOVE garlic....the flavor AND the aroma!!!

I browned a few slices of French bread and served this along with every leftover I could find in the refrigerator! Made for a wonderful dinner!

Job well done! Chest finished! Bedroom put back to rights!
We finished the night off sitting on the driveway under a starry sky with Lucy at our feet.

Today we did half a dozen errands one of which was shopping for groceries at the local ALDI which had some great prices! The weather was mild here today in the 70's with a few drops of rain but not enough to stop us from getting the yard done.
We also bought a beautiful screen door for our bedroom. It is white vinyl! Goes great with the new look in our bedroom and when the weather is cool we do love to sleep with the door open! We dumped the old door so a new one was a MUST since we don't want unwanted critters coming in to spend the night with us!!

Now we are celebrating our accomplishments by taking the weekend off to do more RELAXING and fun things!

hahhhaaa...I love your quote at the end. LOVE IT.

Your chest turned out sooo pretty. I love it. You did an awesome job, girl.

The divinity log I bought at CB was soft, full of pecans and so good, I was mad that I didn't buy two. There's a CB about 10 minutes from me, tho, so I can go get another any time. Hope you like it...
