Watching and Praying Over Nita......

Yesterday was Day #16 for Nita being in the hospital on Life Support.
Those first few days were so hard......and the last few have been harder still.

I was up early Monday morning and sat out on the kitchen deck praying, reading , meditating and crying. As I prayed for the Holy Spirit to comfort Nita, a soft breeze rippled along the fence line stirring the trees and two doves flew back and forth above the trumpet vine before flying up in the tree.

Every time I feel the wind, I am reminded of the Holy Spirit who is sent to give us comfort.

Louis Dean and I joined other family members at the hospital yesterday afternoon to visit Nita and pray over her. There was comfort in being close to her and I found comfort in being with family.
I believe we all comforted one another just by being together.

I took two photos yesterday.....
this is the second one.
Is she not adorable?
10 years old and we met her in the waiting room.
She was there to visit her Grandma and her owner took her out of her carrier so we could meet her.
She made us all smile.

Last night I was thinking of and praying for Nita and her husband and children and searching my heart for a way to feel close to her and comfort my own heart.

I went to her Facebook page and scrolled down through the last several weeks.

Nita is the most positive person I know.
There's always a bright side and always a silver lining to any and every thing!

Nita is a believer and has a strong faith in God.

I know she is holding on to God's hand right now and I also know God has her in his arms.
We must hold onto God, too.

Nita trusted Christ long years ago and has never been shy about sharing her faith.

She has always been a bright spot and a light to everyone she knows.

When  I scrolled down to this one, I teared up.

Louis Dean did well going up to the hospital yesterday so he and I are going back this morning.

I was up early and had my Quiet Time out side again.

Brenda brought over a picnic cooler yesterday for us to take with us to the hospital.
I am going to pack it with bottled water, canned drinks, meat and cheese and fruit and other snack things.

I have my pull along bag I had used when Louis Dean was in the hospital last week and I have already packed a small pillow and my  needlework in it. Add a book or two and we will be set.

Now it's time for me to wake him up so he can have some 'Stupor Time' before we get dressed and leave for the day.

I am so very grateful for all of you who are reading my words......for your prayers, notes, texts, emails, cards and the comfort of your friendship and care.
You have made such a difference and blessed me and my family.
Thank you.....

I'm praying for Nita, and for God's best for her life. I know you all are praying that, too. I'm also praying that God gives you all many more years together.

I've never met Nita, but I can tell I'd love her!

How wonderful to find those encouraging quotes on Nita's facebook page. It shows how God was already preparing her heart for the days ahead, and also how He wanted to encourage you and all those who love her. That doggy is just too sweet. Definitely looks like she's smiling. What a day brightener that had to be. Lifting you up in prayer now. May you continue to feel the Lord's presence with you day by day.

what a great idea to visit Nita on FB and then to show us who she is on her page. God bless all of you as you wait and pray
that dog looks like a puppy not a grown dog and I want to hold and kiss it

I am so hoping and praying that things are better today, and she will begin turning around. But God is with her through it all. The dog is so cute that he does not look real. He looks like a little stuffed toy.

Linda,
I continue to pray for peace for Nita - that is what I prayed for my sister last week. I love my nephew, niece and brother in law dearly, but my thought had to be what was best for my sister.
You are in the midst of very hard times, as I know so well. Prayers for you too (and LD). We don't always know God's timeline or reasoning, but He does. I ask for prayers this week for my family as my sister's service will be this Friday afternoon. It's been a rough week, will get rougher. My niece called me last night and we talked for about an hour - she has some strong moments and some very sad moments, but she is her mother's daughter and she will prevail.
Linda, you watch over yourself and LD, as well as you can - your love for each other is a beautiful thing. God's blessing to all of you dear friend.
