A Merry Christmas Kind of Sunday!!!

This morning Louis Dean woke up as tired as he was when he went to bed last night!
We both slept late so I left him in bed while I gulped a quick cup of coffee, jumped in the shower and dressed as fast as I could! I made it to church just a little late!
Amber and Mike had saved me a seat. I am so loving our church and was grateful to BE there!!!
December Sundays are some of my favorites!

The kids were SO excited to see me when I went with Mommy and Daddy to get them from the nursery. They mentioned Granddad a lot - but were VERY happy I was there!
Logan rode home in MeeMaw's car!!!

We arrived before the others so Logan manned the front door!

Trystan is the CUTEST thing!!!
She loves her hats!
By the way, I wore my new black fascinator this morning and totally forgot to get Amber to take a picture of me!
I only have one carseat in my car and  Logan REALLY needed some MeeMaw time! We spur of the moment decided I could take her home with me!
Kailey was missing her Granddad and wanted to go see HIM so Mike came up with a solution!

He just took one of the regular carseats out of the Suburban for me to use today!
Win! WIN!!!
Happy little girls!

Happy Granddad!!!

Our sweet next door neighbors are BIG Cowboys fans!!!

You could hear the whole neighborhood cheering loudly this afternoon as the Cowboys became the Division Champions!

As soon as we got in the house, the girls were snacking on some Texas Trash while I fixed their lunch plates.

Good stuff!!
I looked over a few minutes later and Logan had the container up to her mouth as if she was going to DRINK it!

Lunch was scrambled eggs, rolls and fried ham that Granddad had cooked while we were driving home.
Naps followed.

Louis Dean was in charge of Kailey.
I gave him firm instructions!
She must STAY in the den and she SHOULD go to sleep!
She did.

Logan wanted to nap with MeeMaw!

We both love a good nap!

My sweet Lolo Bear!

The Cowboys were already playing when we woke up and they were WINNING!!!

I popped us up some popcorn - both to eat then and to make Popcorn Crunch!

Good times!

This is seriously DELICIOUS!!!!!
I had to store it all up in a large tin and I clamped that lid down on it to keep ME out of it!!!

Once we knew the Cowboys had won - we donned our jackets, hats, mittens and scarves and headed out into the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights.

The girls were excited......

and they would walk right up to the displays.

They wanted to 'knock on the door!' of the pretty yards.
We did and when they opened the door the girls would say, "Merry Christmas!"

I love the neighborhood displays.

The day was over and the girls told Granddad good bye!
After I got them buckled up in their car seats, Kailey called out, "BYE, Granddad!!!! I had a good time!!!!"
That's what it's all about!

Awesome day! It should be an annual tradition for kids to go see Christmas lights with their grandparents! I love Trystan in her hat! It so much reminds me of our Anne Marie in HER panda hat! This is the first time for me to see an inflatable football player!

Linda, That turned into a special day for the girls and you grandparents too. They love the things you feed them. I like that they are not whiny picky eaters. As old as mine are they are all picky in ways. The Quads are going to have wonderful memories of their childhood. Blessings to all. xoxo,Susie

They're all just so sweet! Sounds like y'all had a fun day together. I think looking at the Christmas lights together would've been fun. I love doing that as well. There are a lot of pretty subdivisions around us, so there are always plenty to see. Love the Christmas decor on your blog template too, btw!
