Birthday Celebrations!

I love this sign in the foyer of the Bell's home.

It used to hang in the hall at sister Nita's, but has recently found its way here.

The quads' big birthday celebrations continued on the day of their birth!
Amber made a special breakfast with sprinkles on their pancakes and whipped cream!
She knows how to make everything a little bit like a party!

It was a rainy Memorial Day as we sat in our card on Monday evening in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot awaiting the text message saying our table for 11 was ready.
Parents and quads, both sets of grandparents and Aunt Summer were all there for the birthday dinner.

Granddad was in heaven with his chicken fried sirloin steak with EXTRA gravy and steak fries!
He was REALLY happy when he asked for 3 more diner rolls and the server guy brought hime 3 more ORDERS - for a total of NINE!!!

It was a fun time as the kids changed places from time to time so we all had an opportunity to visit together.

Then it was back to their house for gifts and cake and ice cream!

I had reading pillows custom made for each of them from my talented cousin, Pam.
She does such excellent work and has her own successful business.
Her grandson, Rickey was also celebrating HIS 9th birthday this weekend!
This pillow is Kailey's and it says, 'A book is a dream you hold in your hand' and done in the colors she uses in her room.

Trystan's has a unicorn on her pillow and it's done in her favorite colors.

Pam sewed an artist's palette on Logan's......

and Harrison's has a sports theme!
I have been collecting books from the thrift stores for the last 6 weeks or so as each pillow has a pocket to put their book in! Lots of books for summer reading!

We partied for awhile and ended the night by watching videos of the quads' birth and pictures of them as they have grown during these short 9 years!

Today has been a Home Day - my favorite kind!
Louis Dean and I both worked outside for a good while cleaning up the back pond area.
He also made a lot of improvement in the area Sanford and Son recently vacated and then we both worked on the drywall in his bathroom. He took down the mirror and cupboard so I could stucco the wall and, together, we got nearly all of it done! Ran out of 'mud' so tomorrow we will be going to Home Depot for a fresh box plus I have decided to check out a local builders surplus store to look at new bathroom cabinets. I had planned to refinish the ones we have and I may still do that.
But I love the fact that I have options!!!

But maybe not the best choice for Louis Dean's bathroom!!
