Amber and I are a little late getting the edits done on chapter 13 so I will be posting that tomorrow instead of today.
I worked book fair noon-2 and shopped Aldi after so I am now going to be home for a couple of days.
Except for thrifting with Brenda tomorrow.
Louis Dean has been missing me and says it's lonely when I'm not here.
I have never taken so long to get my house back in order after a change in seasons.
Perhaps it's my age because I know I'm definitely slowing down.
It's okay as I am enjoying the process of changing things up, purging, deep cleaning and organizing.
I bought this canvas at the thrift store back in the December and hung it in the sewing room today.
Same with the daisy crocheted throw.
The sewing room is the last room in the house to do.
Amber gave me the floral mud boots and I intend to fill them with pretty spring/summer faux flowers.
I need to find a pretty picture for the rosebud frame I recently thrifted.
Kimmy gifted me this tiny rabbit tea set.
This is a whole new look this year for the sewing room.
Plus I have some repairs to do later in here.
I have a hole in the ceiling back in the offset area where we keep the kitty box and supplies.
I'll tell you about that later! It's a funny story.
So many bee and honey treasures!
Some from friends and some from family.
I don't think I bought more than a few things here and there so these are mostly gifts.
It's a garden theme along with the bees and honey and eggs and Easter and the odd this and that.
I love this oversize cake plate and cover that was Nita's.
I always decorate it for the season and I know she knows I am thinking of her.
It comforts my heart to touch the things she has touched.
Hopefully we will have a honey harvest this year from our own bees!
I love looking at pretty things!
This wreath was thrifted back in the fall.
Love seeing things that I forgot I had!
This one section is all but finished.
I added some faux carrots to the carrot patch wreath and I'm sure I will continue to tweak things here and there.
A reality shot proving that this room is an ongoing project and I am really hoping to finish it this week.
The next project will be the gazebo which is still wearing her fall clothes under the debris I've piled in there!
There's always so much to do but that is a true blessing!
May God bless the work of our hands.

I could just jump into your house and roam room to room and then sit on your couch with you and a cup of coffee. Your sewing room is such a delight. Every corner, every nook a treasure. My daughter and I are working on making my home for servicable for my dearest and me. The bedroom and Media room I call the Treehouse Nursing. Walkers, canes, bed rails, and all those "safety things in the bathroom for us older ones.
The living room, dinning area and kitchen will be The Treehouse Bed and Breakfast and that's how I plan to decorate it. You are the first to hear my plans...and I know you understand I need my pretty place!! You are always giving me ideas. Love and Hugs to my sweet forever friend.
Hi Linda. Your house always looks so fun. Good to see what you've been up to. See you again soon!
Everywhere you look, there is something beautiful, cute, or interesting! I especially love your cloche with the sunflower and nest of eggs inside!
You have so many cute things in your sewing room. The crocheted flower blanket reminds me of the ones that my grandmother used to make.
So many fun things to look at. It's like being in a really fun gift shop. Maybe you should hang out a sign and go into business? LOL. I can imagine doing all of that decorating and undecorating would be very tiring. I still haven't done my Easter decorating. Just can't seem to get going with all of the other stuff going on with ducks and cats and cranes and geese, and life in general. But Easter is coming, so I need to get busy. Your posts always make me smile. Thank you for this lovely way to start my morning today!
Oh, I love the Chin Up sign! My new favorite... Love all the sunny, bright decorations - we were in the 50s yesterday, but supposed to get to 60s today. Today is my monthly lunch date with "The Lunch Bunch" and it was my choice. The restaurant is several miles away, but one of my favorites.
I wanted to tell you what Devin did last week - drove to neighboring state with friends and bought a larger (in memory) PC in 5 boxes, had it put together by midnight. That kid loves to do that sort of thing. He will begin year 5 in July, so please continue prayers. His attitude is that this will happen!!
I have 1 small guest room in my house that will never be clean, it's where I store all my dishes in crates, I can walk through, but that's all! Have a beautiful week, dear sister from another mother.
Linda, your decorations always make me smile because they make your home so warm and inviting. While, it must be hard to keep everything dusted and in place, all re lovely to see. I especially liked the rabbit tea cup set and the oversized cake plate and cover from your dear sister.
