Christmas Decorating Continues.... Den is Done and Moving on to the Living Room....

We have had a lot of rain the last couple of days and there was no dry area to sit outside for my quiet time.

So I lit candles and turned on the fairy lights in the living room.
And I played Christmas music......I love my mornings.
I managed to take several bags of trash to the curb and that made me feel good.

Keeping Louis Dean busy is important and today he took lights off of a Christmas tree and fluffed it up for me. This tree will live in the living room for the next month or two.

A sneak preview of the living room.....
Hoping to finish it up tomorrow.
So far I am loving it!

The den is done and I love it, too.

Every room is different this year and I am trying to keep it less cluttered and more in line with what I really like.

I am past keeping things that do not mean much to me and if I don't love it - I have tossed it!

It's good to love and enjoy the things that bring us pleasure.

I cover the sofa with seasonal fabrics and I am loving this one!
I used this cover on our bed back a few years ago and then used it in the guest room.
It works great here and I am so glad.

Decorating is therapy for me and

Sweet kitty!

I love my den....

This is the scene on the baby grand piano....

Warm and cozy is my goal.

I'm hoping to do a journal entry every day to allow more comments for the Christmas Giveaway...
I think tomorrow the living room will be all done!
I doubted I would be up to the task of decorating for this year.
My strength and purpose seemed to be at question.
The motivation came from others who are looking forward to a Christmas Tea Party.
Amber and her children and Whitney (Amber's sister in law) and her children....
I used to do a 'Cup of Christmas Tea' parties but that ended in 2020.
So I am embracing this Christmas season and hope YOU are, too!!

Merry Christmas!!

Your place is like a Christmas fairyland!
I have no room for a painting so I would ask to pass it on to some lucky person who does.
Bless you both. You do have your hands full, but live with love. :)

OMG that wall hurts the eyes. The tree is nice though.

You should just take the bull by the horns, get the address and go over there and knock on the door. As a follower of the blog, you're entitled to dinner as well.

Your nest is YOU and ready for you to enjoy the rest of the year.. Everyone should love their home as much as you do... I am laughing and wish I could see your face when you see my kitchen table coming soon to a blog near you, a new table cloth. I cover my furniture with dog blankets and dog pillows

Your den is so festive. I like the idea of covering the furniture with seasonal fabric. THe pictures you've shared feel like they came right from Santa's castle. I picture him and Mrs. Claus sitting at that table for their evening cookies and cocoa.

These next few weeks are by far our favorite time of the year fill both with memories of holidays past as well as what the future holds. Bittersweet and melancholy for sure sometimes, but we would not have it any other way.

Linda life is not easy as we get older and it is wonderful you are able to do all you do and take care of Louis Dean. Your love of life and family is so uplifting! I moved to Arkansas three years ago and no longer receive you beautiful Christmas card and I would love to start receiving them again. I checked for your email address and it took me to four different places. I would love to enter to receive your painting. Belinda Wallace

I love the decorating you've done, it is like a set from a Christmas movie! I agree with you about getting rid of the things that do not bring us joy and only keeping the things we love. I'm working on it slowly but surely, room by room!

You outdid yourself. Didn't think it was possible. Everything looks so warm, welcoming and cozy. Am always awed by your energy and your creativity. Now I want to drag my debris out of the garage and transform my home. Was going to wait til after Thanksgiving, but now I am fired up and excited to begin! Thanks for the boost of enthusiasm, you are a good motivator!
