Vintage Old Hickory Knives

We have enjoyed a wonderful weekend! Yesterday I did a little camper cleaning.
Most of the cooking utensils, dishes, pots and pans, silverware and knives were the ones Louis Dean used when he lived in here for four years after his beloved Ellen died.

I finally gathered the knives up and scrubbed off the rust!

Two knives made by the Ontario Knife Company.
It is an American manufacturer since 1899.

I love finding interesting things right here under my nose!

I have so enjoyed sleeping late this weekend!
Church starts at 11:00 and we were there on time!

We ate lunch at a place Louis Dean found one day when he was out and about by himself.
He had the 'all you can eat' on his sneaky lunch out last week.
I know it was a SNEAKY lunch because he didn't put it on the credit card!
Busted!
Today he restrained himself and ordered the 7 piece.....and he couldn't eat of that!

I had the 6 piece and brought half of it home.
My GOODNESS! This food was good!
The tartar sauce was not your average stuff!
It reminded me of the kind my mother used to make and keep in a big mayonnaise jar.

After all that food I was more than ready for a nap!
Over TWO HOURS I napped!
It was wonderful.
Louis Dean was so sweet. He took his guitar outside and played and sang until he got tired.
Then he just sat out there and waited for me to wake up because Lucy would have barked if he had come back in the camper and he didn't want to cut my nap short.

The Superbowl is under way as I write. Half time just ended.
It is amazing the two coaches are brothers.
Talk about having a hard to to choose which team to cheer!
I bet their mother is an amazing woman.
 I LOVE Colin Kaepernick!
Louis Dean says I always root for the 'Pretty Boys!'
Since they are behind I best pay attention and cheer harder!!

Tomorrow is Monday and I think I'm ready!!!

  6. Lovely weekend.

But Oh Oh, LD is sneaking bad-for-him-food, and then getting more of it, with you.

Yes, the pic of him is cute. Like a little boy, caught! But he's not a little boy. And he has a bad heart. And that *delicious* fried food is dangerous for him.

    OK, I will stop.

  7. You're married to such a nice man. So thoughtful! What a nice assortment of knives and utensils. It probably would be interesting to see with new eyes all the things we have right under our noses.

By now, you're in the thick of it. Hope that all is going swimmingly!
