Sherry came down on the buggy yesterday and took me down to the meadow.
This is my very favorite place!
There's a bench where I can sit and read or meditate or just be.
Along the back of this meadow runs a creek and during heavy rains, the big tank fills up and runs down to it.
Mama duck had three babies....and now there is one.
Such is life in the country.
Sherry has the mama in a separate pen until the baby is older...
hope he makes it!
Critters everywhere and I love it!
One of the three new babies.
I love watching the goats!
Thumper is Sherry's favorite goat!
Sherry had a hip replacement recently and is doing well.
Recovery takes time and I was so happy to see her with my own eyes.
I walked down there as soon as we got here Thursday and there's nothing like visiting in person!
I have been sleeping and napping a good bit.
The last time we were here was Saturday, January 17.
During the change over from my old laptop to my new one, I lost two chapters of my book.....
39 and 40. While I meant to do some writing down here, I didn't bring the journals from 2002 and 2003. So I'm going to chapter 41 and doing some editing on it.
It takes me two hours to do our meds and this was a good place to work on that.
I filled five weeks of boxes for me and four fofr Louis Dean.
Photo from Friday evening before Saturday's rain arrived.
The Bells at Easter service.
I made chicken and dressing for tonight's dinner along with baked sweet potatoes and cucumber salad.
My plans were to go home tomorrow......but I'm thinking I need another day.....or maybe two.
I've loved seeing all the beautiful Easter posts on Facebook....

Linda, So glad you are resting. Praying for Sherry . My gosh your grandkids are growing so tall and fast . Wishing all of you a blessed Easter. Hug that LD for me. Love you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh the beauty and peacefulness of the ranch. That meadow is breathtaking and what a spot for meditation and soaking up God's creation and beauty. And the "critters" Those goats are adorable. So glad you are getting some rest and refreshment of the ranch.
ReplyDeleteAmber's family are so adorable in their Easter picture.
I had to smile when I saw you pill filling routine. Saturday morning I fill our pill boxes for the week. When I had surgery I filled for two weeks as I don't trust my dearest..hahaha.
I pray you will continue to rest and get some nap time before you have to head home. Loving you.
Wow, it has been a long time since you were there! So you should take at least one more day. I love watching the small goats jump. Good grief, your pill marathon. I just finished doing mine, it took forever and I only do enough for a week!! I don't think I could concentrate long enough to do a month.
ReplyDeletePills, pills pills!! Here, too!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures----all of them. God bless youall on this very holy day! I cherish your every post, and they are never too long! I always smile when I see the animals...and the Bells....and you and Louis Dean. All very special in this Virginia home! Love, TRUDY
That meadow is beautiful So green. It looks very peaceful there. Those baby goats are so cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm always happy when you get time in the country! It refreshes your soul! Prayers for Sherry as she recovers!
ReplyDeleteI continue to pray for you and LD and that you will find it more and more refreshing while you are in the country. I do hope you can stay for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteWow, on the Bells. What a beautiful family.
Your critters are adorable. Thanks for sharing all of the photos.
Sue
you are in paradise and I would love it also. just the grass and critters and trees would be heaven on earth. glad you are there, and you should stay as long as you can. if you have published the two chapters you lost, you can copy and paste from your blog. I don't remember how many you have published.
