We do so love our church! First United Methodist Carrollton!
I also love that Amber and Mike and the quads all attend there as well!!!
This morning Amber and I even dressed much the same!
That often happens on Friday with Mother and me.
We will BOTH wear denim....or black....or even red or turquoise!
We went over to Quadville after church this morning.
We have two car seats so we got to take TWO of the quads with us! They all love to ride in MeeMaw's car! We will be getting a BIGGER vehicle in the future!
Since Amber graciously fed us a good lunch - salad, pasta, glazed chicken, candied baby carrots - all SO GOOD!!!! - we were ready to work on the camper when we got home!!!
You can see where Louis Dean has already framed out the damaged wall and is ready to insulate it and put on a pretty piece of new 'wall' to finish it! Today he cut into that scary ceiling! You know! The one that filled with dirty water and dumped it on MY side of the bed? Again and again?
It was not NEARLY as bad as he feared!!!
While HE worked on that project -
I worked on cleaning up the bathroom, girl bunk and pantry.
I chop up all the work that needs to be done in pieces and dig in!
Otherwise, seeing THIS photo would SCARE me!!!
I really love the little GIRL camper bathroom!!!
It's really a GIRL bathroom because it is so small in scale and FRILLY!
Louis Dean mistakenly ordered the tiniest commode/toilet possible!!
That clinched it!!! It is MY bathroom and mine alone!!
Thankfully, there are other facilities at the ranch for guys!
Here is a view of the girl bunk from the bathroom.
I sleep here for naps and even at night occasionally.
I have used lots of vintage linens in here!
My kind of place!
After I got it all cleaned and restocked, I cut my very first bouquet of roses and honeysuckle for the year! Plus I added two springs of fresh mint for good measure!
All clean and ready to use!
The A/C works so well in the camper that it can get icy cold!!
I'm almost tempted to sleep in there tonight!
Instead I closed it up and am looking forward to cleaning up the camper kitchen later this week.
By the time I get to the sofa/chair/living room area - Louis Dean will be done with the bedroom!
Thus we have agreed to 'meet in the middle!'
We took our wine and sat on the driveway at dusk listening to the mockingbird sing!
Our favorite time of day!
No matter how 'together' we all seem - we are ALL in constant need of healing and
God is ALL about grace and healing.
When you are done with the camper, how about coming to Philly and helping me clean up my house? There are some jobs LD could do too. LOL! You two are doing a fantastic job on your camper. I know you can't wait to go to the ranch again.
ReplyDeleteI love that last sentence. I'm working on some healing myself. All by God's grace.
ReplyDeleteLove the wisdom of the last quote Linda. Your camper is coming on a treat! X
ReplyDeleteYour sweet old linens look lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe quote is so good for me right now - I did copy it for use. Thank You, Linda! What a timing you had....indeed the very best.
I also copy your idea.... And my comment after reading this quote is that You, Linda, definitely do this through Your lines.
ReplyDeleteDo your little bit of good where you are; its those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.

Amen to that! Love seeing progress on the camper...it won't be long now.
ReplyDeleteYour camper looks so cozy and perfectly vintage!
ReplyDeleteyou have such a cute mini home away from home and i like the girl bathroom, but it would not fit this girl... i would need a shoe horn to get in it and a crane to lift me off that pot.... i had bob install the tallest commode Home depot carries, for the old knee problems.
ReplyDeleteNo matter WHERE you are, you make it look beautiful!!! Your camper is like a DREAM!! You and amber are so pretty in this picture! Is that the top you got at Goodwill? It looks GOOD on you! Now that we have three, we need a bigger car. We had to let our van go after we needed to get towed four times! Anne Marie is 9 now, so she does not need car seats anymore. But the babies are LITTLE!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ginny, where ever you are you make it comfortable and pretty. Lookin good !
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love the way you and LD work together on your projects. Ted and I are good workers together too. Many hands make light work, is what I say. The little bathroom linens are sweet. Glad you had a beautiful Sunday with your family. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteSize is not what matters...comfort is the goal:)
ReplyDeleteI so love those beautiful linens. You have a good life and we are both blessed! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteYour camoer is adorable Linda, and it has such lovely linens as well. Diane is right...you have a good life, and it's so well deserved.
